The one play that is literally keeping me awake, knicks up 123-118 with the ball, 2 possession game under 30 seconds, Brunson has the ball, first and foremost, the idea is NOT TO SCORE, it’s to run out the clock. Brunson is your best free throw shooter first why is he giving up the ball? Why is he throwing that pass to OG who has horrible hands. Of course the officials overturn the call because they always do vs the Knicks, you don’t let the officials decide the outcome. I know some are saying the knicks dominated for 45 minutes, which should give us hope, BUT remember, the c’s were in the same boat and lost the series.

That being said, we just have to trust our captain JB when he said this is a mentally tough team. The only way we lose this is if the coaching staff prioritizes JB winning the ECF MVP over actually coaching smartly to beat a strong Pacers team.
This will be similar to the Bucks run in 2021. They threw Game 1 versus the Hawks but won the series in 6. They also dropped the first two games against the Suns before completing a back door sweep.
Thunder just last round is another example. Now they're rollin'.
That call was a blessing, lol.
You beat me to it.
I think OKC lost like this against Denver in Game 1 but they were able to recover from it.
If we cannot do the same, then we don’t deserve to face them in the Finals (with all due respect to Minny who is far from out of it).

Re: PG: Knicks vs Indy: Game 1 ECF
It feels like Thibs' gameplan down the stretch is just "put the ball in JB's hands and run down the clock", but that won't cut it in the playoffs, especially when the defenders are playing a fullcourt press and you NEED to get it down the floor.
His lack of adjustments are honestly tragic, and I'm sure he'll get thoroughly outcoached by Carlisle in future games like tonight. Hopefully the talent we have can offset that, but it's sad that Thibs will get to keep his HC position when there's so many better candidates out there. This team won't reach its full potential.

It looked like an easy 2 pts but he flubbed the pass. He made a few unforced errors under the pressure that he usually doesn't make.
I almost prefer when Brunson is cold in the first half because he defers until the mid-3rd. He may have gassed out early tonight.

Who cares if it’s an easy 2 points, running the clock was more important than the 2 points, the pass was too risky not in that spot because the clock is needing to run, not the 2 points

I also hate the fact, that goaltends cannot be reviwed, but if you stepped on the line, that is fine. That was a 5 point game in OT, and the bitched call got them on open three.

Another thing keeping me awake and this happened in the regular season, refs should ALWAYS make the goaltending call, why? Simple, once you make it, you can review it, and if its the WRONG call you can take the 2 points off. It literally makes no sense Not to call it. Up 6 at that point, they might have still blown it, but you never know.

That’s the thing, a goaltend CAN BE REVIEWED, if the officials call it a goaltend, once called they can review and if it’s not they take the points away. Which is why i just posted, if it’s close..call it..

The moment got too big for Jalen at the end of the game.
There were 34 second left in the game, and the Knicks had a 24 second clock available to them with a 5 point lead, and Jalen got greedy looking for points instead of taking as much time off the clock as possible.

Right. We've gotta respect our opponent and all of that but it's not time to despair at all. It smells like bitch in here again and I don't like it. Long damn series. Nuggets took G1 from the Thunder in brutal fashion and Thunder won in 7. We can do this but it's gonna have to be the hard way. They're not massively better than us because they grabbed our souls one game. But these two teams are close and they're VERY well coached. And they went on a wild, wild heater that we've seen from our group this very playoffs. Keep pushing.
I think most of us are not "scared" of Indy because of the loss Cap. It's that we knew that the Knicks took the 14 point lead with 3 minutes for granted.
Hart said this in the post game interview. We essentially threw a game away and I think thats the energy for the most part. I feel like my energy and time was wasted unnecessarily. It shouldn't have happened. AT this point they should know better. You did all of that work to throw it away with 3 minutes to go?!
My issue is people are acting like the series is over now. It's still very young. This could be what takes us down or it could be a bump in the road.
Make no mistake, tonight was very disappointing. We were on our way to a path for an short series and that path is all but gone for us.
They have it in them to run off 4 of the next 5 but can they grow over night? because clearly when I thought they grew from game 5 vs the celtics in game 6- they went right back to the nonsense...we'll know in a week...finally going to bed guys...
Good night Knick family we'll feel better tomorrow...

Another stupid play yeah. 0g is bad, he just is. Brunson also threw it away to Josh but luckily he got it — was another asinine decision by Thibs, JB throwing it in lol
Brunson is overused by the clown coach. No creativity in how he uses Brunson or KAT and 0g is a weak as hell poor finisher
Thibs did this against Detroit at MSG, so it’s just happening a lot - he’s making inexcusable mistakes and needs to be removed

I’d differ on greedy and say it is sheer idiocy … opening a door that is closed … like 0g’s 3 attempt early in the clock
And all of that goes on the coach’s shoulders 100%

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you!
The bulls were down 0-2 to us in 1993. They won four straight
The bucks were down 0-2 to the suns and won 4 straight against the suns
Okc just lost game 1 to the nuggets in heartbreaking fashion and still won the series in 7
This series is far from over.
Everyone. Relax.

But you didn’t do dumb stuff, the Knicks did
In fact you see all the dumb stuff so good for you
Knicks jus don’t know what they’re doing — we just know now that they’re not good or smart enough or well managed by Thibs and staff
Better to know sooner that they don’t know what they’re doing … limit that disappointment later

Yeah, it’s done.
Pacers have something different this year. It’s OK to admit it. We don’t have what they have.

OG has also played more games and minutes than he ever has before. His usage is also higher than ever before. He looks worn down.
You have to wonder if the minutes/usage are also effecting Bridges - although his shot has been off all year.
OG had a big run when Jalen first went out, 5 points, some defensive stops.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

You think it could have been the court? I'll have to check the video again, but I'm pretty sure he slipped on the logo.
