I don't think anyone wants to see them play 24 mins each. But cycling them in and mixing and matching them to help the defense and keep guys fresh for the 4th shouldn't be a tall ask. OG and Mikal will still be out there anyway.

No team is truly 10 men deep. Even Indiana. There is always a talent drop off after your first 6 or 7 guys. But you still have to develop roles for the average guys in your rotation and not rely so heavily on your top 5. Tom historically sucks at that, so I don't really think letting them play instead of having 7 guys trying to keep up with the Pacers 11 man rotation is playing with fire at all. It’s common sense.

indy's bench is mostly a loser though statistically. they basically concede those minutes. so playing 7 guys more minutes with diminishing returns late or 11 guys when you're pretty sure you're gonna be bad when the end of that rotation is on the floor is probably a wash. but play wright 10 minutes or so. he'll play defense and won't take any shot he shouldn't.

Shamet was actually net positive on the season, all we need from them is to hold water for a few minutes, keep the Pacers working harder to score and limit McConnell from looking like white CP3.

that's against the whole league though. just good teams are a different story i'm sure. and in the playoffs, look it worked last game but i don't feel very confident in it.

Shamets a pretty easy read though...if he bricks a shot or two you can probably take him out...what we really need is only 10 or so mins from Wright and Shamet...pick up full court...get into these guys...use your fouls. Make smart defensive rotations.

Just to keep Mikal and OG in the high 30's in terms of minutes instead of the mid 40's...it does wonders to there 4th qtr energy.

this won't embed because it's a youtube short, and they were only introduced 5 years ago, so we should see that function added to realgm sometime in 2035 but.......

jesus. if we lose this series because of that shot.

Immediate action has been taken regarding YouTube.

We may disagree on the why (we def do) but they win tonight and it’s like winning the series twice essentially

that's my problem with guys like shamet and precious. they get out there and think it's their time to shine offensively and all of a sudden you have 3 empty possessions in a row. wright is fine because he doesn't do that.

More worried about kat putting together b2b great games and to a lesser extent Brunson getting right than our bench mins killing us.

We really csnt survive another poor Brunson performance

Sweeping in Indiana is a lot to ask … but they can I suppose

We probably are better as I see the series unfold, not sure tho

You raise an interesting point as we kill two hours: How many balls that hit the rim go in? I’d guess that it’s more than a quarter but from 3 or close, less. The high bounce dropping in from straight on, it’s not ridiculously rare. From the side it would not happen much — it’s the back iron that is doing it

Maybe Chanel delulu but I wouldnt put it past this team to win 3 straight if they fall down 3-1. I just think the teams are close and every game can go in any direction. Both can self-destruct, come back from the dead, play great or anemic basketball.

It’s def on him

Not a shadow of a doubt

Unless you want to say they’d never be here without Thibs and that replacement average for Thibs is way short … maybe but tend to doubt that although he has certain strengths

Listen guanyy if Brunson is the superstar we think he is then he needs to get us 1 game in Indy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s what I’m really hoping to find out tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he can’t then that’s all we need to know about if he is truly that guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he continues to struggle for the rest of this series then I hope he likes charlotte Nc!!!!!!!!!!!!??!?!!?!!!!!!!

Shamet is a streaky shooter but he's been pretty decent as a defender. I could care less about Shamet or Wright scoring tho. They need to play defense and hustle for 50/50 balls. Scoring isn't our issue.

Exactly if they are out there playing good defense and their -/+ is close to 0 they did their job, I think we can come out + in their minutes there's a reason OG looks so good game 3 I saw the fire in his eye on that Nesmith block and I think at that point they got introduced to the series
