You missed a Thibs masterclass
Not to beat a dead horse but I said since the off season that with the moves we made we were going to be significantly worse on defense than last year. Knicks have some tough decisions to make this summer if they want to go forward with this core or change things up so we can be more balanced on both ends.
Remember there was that guy Ryan Dunn a 6'8" defensive "menace" we could have drafted (and thus had cheap) instead of Dadiet who just collected splinters all year. He'd have been perfect to sick on Hali.
I have no faith that Thibs would have played him, anyway.

They do it to brunson why can't we?
Not apart of Thibs' scheme.

The only disappointment for me will be if Thibs returns next year. We need a real coach to see what we actually have and I don't want to spend another year playing iso-Jalen with a short rotation.

Re: PG: Awful gameplan, not prepared, not 1 good performance
Ryan Dunn and Bradley Beal for MIkal and Kolek works in the trade machine IF Beal wants to come to New York. Lots of questions about Beal BUT he has shot over 38% from 3 in Phoenix (2yrs) and used to be able to get his own shot. He may suck on D but Dunn could be the answer for us there for a long time? Maybe they'd throw in 7' Ighodoro?

That’s probably one of the worst trades I’ve ever seen

Our only hope is to throw Deuce and Wright onto Hali to slow him down because he absolutely destroyed us.
Deuce, for some reason, only plays like 15 minutes a game.
Wright, for some reason, didn't get in the second half until the second set of substitutions.
We have players to make things work. Thibs isn't maximizing what we have.
Deuce is averaging 20 mpg in the series. What did he do in those 15 minutes that earned him more playing time yesterday? He was awful. And there is no excuse for it when Indiana had a guy drop 20 points in 12 minutes. Deuce is averaging 20 minutes per game, 6 ppg on awful shooting numbers. The rest of Indianas bench didn’t play too many minutes either. TJ played like 19 and Obi played like 18 and the guy who killed us with 20 only played 12. Maybe Deuce could have been better in the time he did play and no shoot poorly again like he has been.

I get it. You hate Deuce. But the fact remains, he's in most of our net positive lineups.

I don’t hate Deuce but there is no question he’s regressed and has played like garbage. He was garbage yesterday and we starting making our comeback when he went to the bench. We should have played our regular starters from the beginning and no matter what the net rating say that’s still our best lineup. We didn’t need more minutes for Deuce. Deuce should have been better when he was in there.

Deuce is a good defender and covers for bad defenders on the team. It's not just about the shooting numbers. Even if he played like garbage yesterday or they made a comeback when he went to the bench, you wouldn't give him credit even if he's part of a comeback so there's no sense in discussing this with you.

TJ was taking him to the basket and scoring on him with ease. He wasn’t even playing good defense. I wouldn’t ignore his production if he was playing well but he’s been crap so I’m just going to call it for what it is

Imagine trading Haliburton for Sabonis to build around De'Aaron Fox
Being a Knicks fan is hard but being a Kings fan has to be worse now.

Re: PG: Awful gameplan, not prepared, not 1 good performance
The Boston series might have ended up being a huge curse for us.
Thibodeau will never be fired now for reaching the ECF for the first time in 25 years.
I just hope this team makes major moves this summer. I know they’re limited with their assets but we need to do something. Bringing back Towns as your second best player is not a recipe for success. Beginning back Bridges in any capacity is not a recipe for success. Bringing back OG at $40 million is not a recipe for success.
Why can’t we be like the Pacers and find guys like Nesmith who give you the same production as OG at a fraction of the price? Why can’t we build a roster of gritty, smart, hard-working players?
Everyone should be on the table besides Brunson. Everyone. There is no untouchables.
