AB is doing, at this point, what he should have provided (at least) as a promising rookie…he will get even better, but, imo, the “starting PG” fantasy is delusional. Jett’s out of the league soon and AB is a decent rotation player like TdS. TdS was a significant contributor early as a rookie late frp…he will be better this year if he gets the minutes. There are plenty of rookies that play right away at the NBA level, including some on our team.

Calling any pick a bust if they’re not in the rotation by year two is just short-sighted. Every team now has a G League affiliate for a reason, development paths aren’t linear, and good orgs use all their tools to get the most out of their investments. Immediate minutes ≠ long-term value.

Is Jett Howard bust to you?

thats wild.. an 11th pick in the 2023 draft can't get minutes on a team who needs a scoring guard and had a lot of injuries.. yet not a bust. :-?
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

11th pick

2 full years

NO minutes

Team needs: Shooting and playmaking Player Profile: Shooting and playmaking

That's pretty tough to defend

Jett was the rare pick who was probably a bust before he even stepped on an NBA court. I mean the Jett thing has been discussed ad nauseam, but at this point I am just glad it doesn't look like we missed on any star or maybe even all-star. Though I would rather have the obvious candidates much more than Jett and many of them still probably carry 1st round value or close in a trade.

Don't blame people for being traumatized by Weltman's drafting after that pick though... IMO there is a natural balance to the world, Jett had to mega bust and TDS had to be average so our next pick can be an all-star. That is my cope at least

Just a sad situation. Nothing will make me happier than Jett busting out next season.

Whats your deal with royce? He is JAG.

Cheap vet 3&D that can really hit the 3 ball and phoenix needs a C (goga would be a great fit there)

Why would we help PHO just for a player who probably would fight minutes between KCP AB Goga and maybe our FRP?

he still might but maybe elsewhere...or, if ORL switched up their offensive sets or added a real PG...you never know - it could be a chemistry thing. I don't question that the guy can shoot. If I was another team making a bigger trade and his (basically expiring) deal was included for salary matching...I'd definitely give him a shot.

He also took Chuma around 15 spots too soon.

Are we talking about the same Royce O'Neil?

Why would he fight for minutes with goga when he is in Phoenix or KCP or ab when they play different positions?

My bad... I shouldve wrote TDS... backup wing minutes in the 2/3 spot... KCP AB TDS and the FRP we are mocked to have picked at.

We worked out Chaz Lanier. This guy can fill it up. Hope we draft this kid and give him Garry Harris minutes.

Guys, I can't say it enough. Even Tre Johnson's FLOOR would already a big impact in ORL's backcourt offense today. With ORL's defense and structure, Tre would be picking up the right habits while potentially being a top 2-3 scorer on 40+ 3P% and 90+ FT% as well as a potentially 4-5 APG guard too like in his last half-ish of the college season. In my eyes, he would effectively be Tyler Herro or baby-Steph Curry within 1-2 seasons.

Chills/vibes...

Raynaud gives me Vuc Chills...that's a good thing
Clayton gives me Cole vibes...that's not a good thing
Clifford gives me Josh Hart vibes...love that
Fleming gives me Isaac vibes without the limp...that's a good thing
Demin gives obvious Giddey vibes...that's an intriguing thing
Edgecombe gives me Keyonte George vibes...that's a bad thing
Some days Jase gives me Kyrie vibes, others he gives me Cole chills
Is Kon Turk 2.0? Is McNeeley Turk 2.0 or not even Kispert?
Where does Danny Wolf ultimately land on the Jokic ---Filipowski scale? (I understand that it's a gigantic range)

Puzzling...how can Rutgers with picks #2 and #3, with a patsy chunk of their schedule, in a sport where there are only 5 guys on the court at a time, still manage to suck?
