Fun regular season coach but when every team is playing at the same intensity, he falls flat

They were the best Western team in this year's playoffs except for OKC. An injury to SGA and Denver would likely be in the Finals.
As Red Larivee keeps writing, and accurately at that, in this era of 3 balls and injuries there are no sure things. You just need to be good enough to have your hat in the playoff ring, in a serious way. (Say, a top #4 seed or better.) Denver qualifies.

KAT being your 1A is a front office decision that will hurt them time and time again. He refuses to play defense, has too many brain-dead moments, and frankly doesn't pair well with Brunson (especially on D). Any smart team will just PnR those guys to death and I don't care how good your wing defenders are, its too damn hard to cover both those guys at once. I struggle to find a player with less court awareness than KAT. I bet if Thibs could, he could give him the Boozer treatment but just doesnt have a Taj sitting on the bench.

Yeah. Again, it’s just a shame NYK went from having a strong team with tons of assets to shedding them all for Mikal and KAT (well, not really; I don’t feel bad for Knicks fans… though I get a little sad for Thibs and Spike). Either way, Pacers have been better 2Y in a row.

I still think KAT wasn't a bad deal, cost them a 1st round pick and two 2nd round picks. He isn't a championship 1A, but they didn't pay a 1A price. That's the exact same price that was paid for Jakob Poeltl. A 1st round pick gets you a roleplayer these days, and KAT's been much more than just an average roleplayer for them.
It was really the Mikal trade for 5 1st rounders + a pick swap, and most of it unprotected. They could have just stopped at the KAT trade and had all those assets to use for Giannis or KD.

Well, atleast we didn’t draft and then trade him for Vuc.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

Interesting, I feel the exact opposite-I love the matchup and can't wait.
