Even if things don't improve in Year 2, he's moveable, IMHO. I'm really not worried about the "KAT issue".
On the other hand, we have no assets because everything was lost in the Bridges trade. And I think he's underperforming. We'll never get those 5 picks back. I doubt we can even get 2 picks back for him.
And if we are being honest, this series also showed the limitations of Brunson. Dude got clamped by Nembhard. There was clear frustration from him and loss of ball control which we havent seen before.
The team in general couldn't even handle a full court press
Is that KATs fault? Is the big man supposed to bring the ball up the court? I don't think he has much to do with the +15 TOs which just fed into the Pacers game
with regards to the TO battle, it's more than just that.
the pacers love running up and down the floor no matter what, whether it's a make or a miss, and the problem is anytime either brunson or kat hit the floor on a layup, make or miss doesn't matter, they throw their hands up into the air to complain about a non-call, take their sweet ass time to get up, then proceed to jog up the floor leading to a 5 on 4 on the other end because haliburton actually runs the floor leading to an open layup or an open 3 on the other end. quietly, both kat and brunson can stand to lose like 10-15 lbs at least and get their ass in gear
