Giannis won his ring. Now it's about cashing in on stardom and setting up his life post basketball.
Giannis could give a sh*t about playing for the Knicks.
He wants NYC, not the NY Knicks.

Plus, Knicks have f*ck all to offer.
Why would the Bucks want KAT?
To pair with Dame? Lolz.

Nets are going to land the "name" so they can have some corny "Giannis vs KAT" thing to try and draw some fans, while Bucks collect like 5 picks from the Nets.

Last time I checked KAT would help Milwaukee a lot
More then some down the rd picks … Bucks can’t be
Bad because they don’t control their picks … They would essentially be getting mid picks from Giannis trade and giving up lottery pks of their own vica versa

I do think, if he is truly available, Bam may be the most ideal "landmark" target.

The problems being:

-I don't buy that the Rat will ever negotiate in good faith with us.

-He makes a weird salary that doesn't really line up with anyone, I think, we would want to trade. You could in theory do OG for Bam straight up but, that feels like a trade that benefits neither team unless there's some ancillary moves to be made off of it.

One interesting idea would be to do Bam and Highsmith for Mikal and Hart. This works salary-wise. I just wonder if the Knicks would think Bam is that much of an upgrade over Mikal that it's worth losing Hart over. And from the Heat's perspective they would upgrade their wings and open up some time for Ware to play real minutes next season while remaining competitive.

Either way I think Bam is probably one of, if not, the best big man compliment to KAT and Brunson in the league. He does a lot of the Hartenstein stuff that we sorely missed on offense this year. DHO's, elbow passing, good O-Rebounder. He's one of the best screeners in the league. He's both switchable and good at protecting the rim on D. He also finally started taking 3's this year. Took 3 a game at a 35.7% clip.

I also feel like we're a week or two away from people floating PG13 trades as well.

It’s amazing that through all of our trade discussions somehow Josh Hart feels like he’s dodging bullets. I love the guy but his defense is bad and he is a terrible shooter who has somehow evolved into an unwilling one. From a scheming perspective teams will be covering him with a C for all 82 and we will try to award him the minutes MVP again. NDOS fix this

He's going to make $19 million next season and if he's moved to the bench he has zero chance to outplay that contract, he needs to be turned into 2 bench players.

I don't think you trade for Bam without keeping KAT. We already know Bam can't be your 2nd best offensive player if you're trying to win a title.

I don't know what the trade proposal would be but I can't imagine a team built around KAT and Kyle Kuzma or whoever is remaining being that good

With Thibs gone….i have no idea what they do.

Like we all know Thibs players, but if there is no Thibs we don’t have that criteria any more….

Suddenly Josh Hart is a very tradeable player, that’s for sure. Incredible turn of events.

Only this time I mean it. They have the picks.

Giannis
Hart
OG
Mikal
Brunson

That starting lineup sucks. Lacks spacing. Giannis going to do secondary ballhandling and pass to the open Hart?

Good plan.

If you want to get eliminated in the first or second round

Brooklyn has a war chest of draft assets but two things:

1) there is nothing there for Giannis to play with. I doubt he demands a trade there.

2) Milwaukee isn't going to tank.

I disagree on # 2. I would like to hear your thoughts on this. Yes, they don't have their picks due to Jrue Holiday trade but they can get the right amount of young players and draft asset for Giannis.

Convenient. You said he destroys franchises… he didn’t destroy OKC or GS.

BK was 3-5 years ago… by your logic, you’re living in the past lol

I still think they explore KAT trades just because KAT/JB is a bad fit defensively (regardless of how poorly Thibs used them on offense/defense).

If they can't get an upgrade for us using KAT (ie a better fitting player) then they'll stand pat with KAT for now.

I could see KAT for KD, Dunn, 1st rounder or KAT/Hart (or Mikal) in a 3-way or 4-way deal for Giannis.

You are comparing KD in his prime to the guy we have seen over the last 3-5 years. That's what I mean by living in the past. You are further crippling the depth of the roster to bring in a 37 year old Durant who has no fire left in him. We dont need it.

Prime? We’re talking about his mentality and character not his game.
