oh, errbody can go.
firing thibs couldn't be a clearer message about accountability.
Jalen is the only safe one.

I know most here are stoked. But Im a lil leary about the change. We were an insane bounce from a game 7 ecf game at home with thibs. But I do think thibs shtick of inspiration has a shelf life and was prolly expired.
You're not soft for having empathy for Tom, Guano. I feel bad for him because this job was everything to him.
Yeah he's owed 30mil but man when you lose something you love, it can destroy you. I hope he will be alright mentally.
For sure. I'm not cheering. This guy meant a lot to the franchise and the franchise meant a lot to him.
I believe there are HCs out there that can bring more to this group but we have to get one and it has to work. There's a mountain of work yet to come.

Yeah, he loved this sht with everything. It was his true passion and im glad that he was able to live his dream job and taking us to the ecf was one of the greatest experiencing I've had watching this team. his "shortcomings" and "ffailures" lead to his demise here but his overall tenure should be celebrated. He is a knicks legend.
And yeah I hope he finds peace. He fcking deserves it.

these non sequitirs, man. so hard to follow.
What’s so hard to follow? He made the wrong adjustment specifically in game 2 of the series against the pacers
I can’t be any clearer than that
The job was not lost in game 1 when we blew the lead
Or even game 4 where he didn’t play delon and shamet (even though he played them in game 3 and won)
HIS JOB WAS LOST WHEN HE LOST THAT FOURTH QUARTER IN A WINNABLE GAME IN FRONT OF KINCKS BRASS AND DOLAN
I said it then, and that was the rumbling as to why he was fired
do you know what a non sequitir is?

stop him from whacking Thibs as long as he felt that’s what stood between us potentially winning a ring.
Also, now Shams looks like he’s lost a lil credibility since he reported Knicks were locked in with Thibs and instead reevaluating the roster.

a conclusion or statement that does not logically follow from the previous argument or statement
Unless I am mis interpreting what you are trying to say?

Again, to blame the coach for the loss roster flaws is just flat out wrong. Again with ALL OF THAT SAID, I trust Leon and his decision making. I am disappointed Thibs is gone, but I WILL
KEEP SAYING THIS, a new coach WILL NOT FIX THE ROSTER FLAWS..but now this is step one, i will keep saying this a new coach deserves to not have KAT and brunson..at least give the new coach a chance
I agree with a lot of the sentiment. However in this case the coach was responsible for the quite decent bench not being used and/or developed properly. Live by inflexibly grinding 52 wins a season with the starters all playing over 40 minutes a game/die by it. Even without talking about the actual plays and so on.
Decent bench? Really?

This should be a wake up call for everyone under contract.

Accountability? If making the conference final and losing is a firing offense there should be 28 new head coaches next year.

But thinking it over a bit more, maybe the new contract last year was his payoff and grateful thanks to him. And they also gave him this season to see if he could make his dream come true. Altogether, he'll be just fine. Do hope they keep him in some capacity.
