I think they give up Risharche way before giving up Johnson. He was awesome this yr before the injury. Can they sign and trade Capela to us with him?
I'd love to get Johnson. But honestly mind of want Dyson Daniels more for his elite defensive potential and size at PG/ SG. Overall though, I'd probably rank it like:
1- Jalen Johnson.
2-
Dyson Daniels. 3- Zacharie Risarcher.
And I'm not sure if I'd honestly keep Risarcher or trade him for other pieces or picks? I'd also highly value the 13th and 22nd picks for their ranges in this draft. Most likely targeting Collin Murray Boyles or Cedric Coward at 13. And then Maxime Raynaud at 22. And then at 29, Adou Thiero for sure!

I think this valuation of Daniels is quite rosy. He's a really good defensive playmaker but 'elite' as an overall defender might be stretching it. And his offense is still (and likely to always be) a problem.
Not that he isnt a nice piece, but having him as a better asset than Risacher is quite the take.
Is 1st team all defense not considered elite? Is leading the entire league in deflections and in stocks not considered elite? Is being the 2nd youngest guard in nba history to make 1st team all defense behind only kobe Bryant himself not considered elite? Even though his accolades should clearly substantiate my position with my assessment of his value, This is just a case of "to each their own" "eye of the beholder" opinion.
But for equitable perspective, Zacharie Risarcher was a #1 pick that's a 6'8 wiry forward that only averaged 12 points/ 3 rebounds/ 1.2 assists on 45% FG and 35% from three. He might become a versatile two way PF, But definitely hasn't been amazing or shown anything outlier in his rookie season yet.
At best, he's been solid, but has also had a pretty mixed season with his frequent shooting inconsistencies and defensive lapses. So what could we assess his realistic outcome to be? Maybe a skinnier Tobias Harris? Or maybe at best a slightly lesser MPJr?
Now Dyson Daniels is also 6'8 and lanky, and averaged 14 points/ 6 rebounds/ 4 assists on 49% FG/ 34% 3 PT and defensively, has been exceptionally good, earning the 2024-25 NBA Most Improved Player award and being named to the All-Defensive First Team.
Daniels in his 3rd year, has also
led the league in steals and set an all-time NBA record for deflections, earning him the nickname "The Great Barrier Thief."
Daniels is also a rising star in the league, and he's known for his defensive prowess and ability to steal the ball. He just led the entire league in stocks with 284, and in deflections with 443.
So while Risarcher might be the marginally better statistical shooter, Daniels is significantly better already defensively and could very likely have a realistic outcome of a bigger 6'8 Alex Caruso or maybe Gary Payton as a perennial 1st team all defensive player at the guard position.
So while asset valuation between the two may be highly subjective, I'll stand firm to my position that Daniels is/ will become the better asset. And especially in this current NBA climate given how strong defensive impact has produced success in the postseason for top teams
