If Embiid's good enough to net the #2 pick year, they aren't going to trade him

So the T-Wolves are going to trade us a DPOY and rim protector plus a legit 3&D guy and a 1st for that same broken down, ball dominant center when the plan is to build around their stud all-star guard?
I don't mean to give you a hard time, but please stop.

Wizards top 8 pick 2026 (fall back unprotected 2027 1st) &
Removal of 2028 pick swap right freeing up Sixers’ 2028 first.
76ERS-WIZARDS (STEPIEN WORKAROUND)
This trade is designed to exploit a Stepien Rule workaround to target the Washington Wizards’ 2026 top-8 protected pick (owed to the Knicks).
TRADE-BACK
Sixers send: Wizards’ 2027 first-round pick (unprotected).
Wizards send: 2026 first-round pick (No. 1–8 only, if protected from Knicks). If 2026 No. 1–8, Sixers get it, and Wizards get 2027 first back. If 2026 No. 9–30, Knicks get it, and Sixers keep 2027 Wizards’ first. Sweetener: Sixers add 2026 second-round pick to balance Wizards’ risk.
OUTCOME
Sixers get: 2025 No. 6, 2028 swap waiver, and either 2026 Wizards’ first (No. 1–8) or 2027 Wizards’ first unprotected (if 2026 is No. 9–30 conveyed to Knicks).
Sixers give: 2025 No. 3, 2027 GSW second, 2026 Sixers’ second.
Knicks’ rights: Unchanged (still receive Wizards 2026 No. 9–30, or 2027 No. 9–30, or 2027 second).
STEPIEN COMPLIANCE
Initial Trade: Wizards trade 2027 first, keep 2026 (top-8 protected) and 2028 (own, with swaps), compliant (2026/2028).
Trade-Back: If 2026 No. 1–8, Wizards trade 2026 No. 1–8, regain 2027 first, compliant (2027/2028).
Retroactively, if 2026 No. 9–30 conveys to Knicks, Wizards’ 2027 first ensures compliance. The workaround uses Stepien’s execution-time enforcement.
The trade is feasible and Stepien-compliant. The conditional trade-back is legal (e.g., 2016 Nets-Celtics precedent).

Trade PG for 52.5M in expirings at the expense of trading back from 3 to 6
Magic out: Anthony Black, Jett Howard, Mo Wagner, Gary Harris
Magic in: Jordan Poole
Magic need a shot making G and take a shot on Poole for the bottom of their roster salaries.
Wizards out: #6, Khris Middleton, Jordan Poole
Wizards in: #3, PG, Anthony Black, Jett Howard
Wiz may be willing to overpay PG to sell tickets while they continue to rebuild. #3 pick can be a difference maker and Black and Howard are still interesting enough prospects to give mins to on a bad team.

Looks like younger Ainge is ready to deal, unlike his daddy who always asks for too much.

Ace will be gone by 5, so you have to feel comfortable taking Noa (or someone else you feel really good about) at 5.
I'd be down for this trade though. Even in Lauri isn't a superstar, at least he's on the right side of 30.

I think you probably have to give Utah a little more.
PG, 3, and 28 LAC 1st for Lauri, 5, and 21.
