Currently top 3 player in the league as well. Some people believe the Spurs are better off keeping the 2 overall pick who may never even be one fifth as good as Giannis is. Crazy takes everywhere.
For OKC, I see no reason they'd make a major trade. They are the best team in the league and also the youngest I believe. What would trading for Giannis accomplish? Giannis playoff resume against healthy contenders is awful, only one he beat was a cp3/Booker suns team that reached the finals beating 3 injured teams, and the suns group had never been in a playoffs before that year. I wouldn't give up a decade of Chet/Williams for 3 years of Giannis. OKC is going to win this title if they have their A game in 3 of the next 5 games.
As far as the spurs, they have the best prospect to enter the league since LeBron, maybe ever, who is 21. I don't see Giannis being all NBA at age 35 with his game and skill set. He is currently a top 3 player but for how long? I guess you could argue they don't need a guard with Fox/Castle there already and all the guys at #2 seem to be pg/sgs. We didn't get to see Wemby/Fox play together barely at all last year. I don't think they need a major trade at this point either, especially with pick #2 falling into their laps. They can be a top 2-4 team in the West next year and only improve going forward.
