Yeah, no. He's not staying here. At least we can get something for him unlike Beal who is just eating up a roster space.jkvonny wrote:I think it'll come down to the TWolves or us (Spurs). Could be Houston.
Wild card. He stays put at Phoenix. Or back to OKC?
If it's out east. Mmmaybe New York? But the Knicks FO and coaching situation is a mess.

That is a terrible trade for the Rockets.Castle Black wrote:If Minnesota is willing to trade Gobert then I think it'll be them. Otherwise, I'm going Houston. They have the best collection of young talent and draft capital. PHX would get the best return from them imo. Something like Jalen Green + Jabari Smith Jr. + Draft Pick(s) is prob the best package you're going to get for KD.

KD is 37 and on the final year of his deal.
Just use Fanspo, it's better anyways.Patches Perry wrote:I don't know how accurate the ESPN trade checker is but I can't make any deal with Minnesota work. Maybe it's stuck on FY 24-25 and when we officially move to 25-26 it will work?

It seems like Houston would have to eat into their core identity too much for a 36yo Durant. Timberwolves would need to involve Randle and something else of worth but is that enough for KD? Spurs would have to include Fox, which seems unwise to trade a 27yo good player + another piece for 1-2 years of old KD. Especially since Spurs likely want to build for a window of 5-7 years.
I'm just not really sure what KD's value is that this point. As a Thunder fan, I might do Hartenstein/Joe/Topic and some 2nds but I'm guessing that's not enough. I don't want to give up any of their top 8-9 players (except Hartenstein would have to be included for salary matching) and I don't want to give up any 1sts.

They love (no pun intended) Kevins up there in Minnesota.
