OKC Sac

Post#1 » by Sactowndog » Sat Jun 14, 2025 3:01 am

Watching the finals.

OKC seems to lack a go to scorer other than SGA so they get a guy who can get a bucket.

To OKC: DeMar DeRozen.

To the Kings: Joe, Wallace, 15 in this draft

Why for OKC gives them a guy who can get a bucket.

Why for Kings: Gives them a defensive guard in Wallace and a pick in this draft

This is an incredible evaluation of DeMar. I wouldn't trade #15 or Wallace for him.

Joe + Williams + Future Mediocre 1st is already a decent offer.

There's some argument that OKC should add a bench bucket-getter (their bench guys are generally defense-first). The overall quality of the OKC guys means that they don't really need to be adding pick value or even their top value guys.

I'd be stunned if OKC offered any of that for DeRozan straight up, let alone packaged together.

I don’t think DD is the right target but a Dieng + Joe trade for him is reasonable.

OKC would be fools to take him for the minimum. Presti isn't a fool, so he would never dream of it.

Should DeRozan be in the NBA?

Sure. He serves a vital role; giving false hope to play-in teams while he puts up stats.

Why are you not in an NBA front office? We need you running basketball ops out here

Nobody even wanted DeRozan before Sac signed him for no reason, but they're going to get a young starting point guard and the 15th overall pick for him?

No chance.

How could I help? Your own GM doesn't run his front office either.

My current GM? I’m not apart of a team sir. A basketball savant like yourself surely could run a team better than whichever GM you’re referring to.

It wouldn't take much to run the Kings better than Vivek, but we'll never know because every GM he hires has no real authority.

By that logic nobody can criticise Trump either. Sometimes a duck is just a duck. It's just as dangerous to think the Emperor has clothes as it is to overestimate yourself.

No that isn't a decent offer it's pretty terrible.

Demar is certainly worth more than that.

Absolutely ridiculously in favor of Sacramento. Okc giving up better players, contracts, and a pick

A massive overpay by the Thunder . Demar isn't worth ether the 15th pick or Cason Wallace, let alone both. I don't buy that Demar Derozen even has positive value at this point. This trade screams someone who significantly overrates their players that's on their team.

None of those players are better than derozan. Just because you like your role player doesn't suddenly make that player more valuable than someone like DeRozan. I understand that isolation players like derozan aren't as valuable as they used to be but come on let's be realistic about actual player impact and stop inflating players value just because they are good role players on a good team.
