Which starting 5 is better?
Quickley > Suggs
Barrett < Bane
Ingram < Wagner
Barnes = Banchero
Poeltl > Carter
I think you have to look at the depth....I think Magic have better depth and Banchero/Wagner duo already pushed that team to playoffs for a couple seasons now....Barnes has yet to push this team to even a playoff birth....A trio of Banchero/Wagner/Bane has a higher ceiling than a Barnes/Ingram/Barrett trio imo...
Magic depth also might be on another tier as they have a pretty complete bench Black/Isaac/Goga/Mortiz/Da Silva/Joseph/Howard is a solid rotation for them....Compared to us anyways.
Magic have no depth, we crush them there. And I personally think Banchero/Wagner are overrated by NBA fans. Ingram is better than Wagner and Banchero is better at being a number 1 option than Scottie is, but he is not a good number 1 option. The projections are doing a lot of work when people talk about that duo.
We have more talent and depth. Only thing Orlando has going for it is that their team fits together whereas ours doesn't.

What if Nurse handled Bane and not Darko?
Not talked about enough. We didn't hit on any of our firsts/seconds/undrafted guys with Nurse. Under Darko, most players we bring in look like they have a chance of being an NBA player, just as they did under Casey.
I was a big fan of Nurse and defended him while he was here, when he went to Philly, and will forever be grateful for the championship. But it didn't take long for me to realize how wrong I was on him. Great basketball mind but he was terrible at everything else you want from a HC.

I’m curious how much this has messed up all the trade chatter for the draft lol.

It would have been Barnes/Dick/Ochai 9th pick and like 3 unprotected FRPs and a pick swap in between.....So 4FRP 1 Swap Barnes/Dick/Ochai
The people that thought we could get Giannis for Barnes/Dick and 2 FRps were always delusional Raptor homers....Raptor fans can say its an overpay but this is a top 3 MVP type player here...Not Bane or 37 year old KD...
Clutch0z24 wrote:Raps in 4 wrote:Lmao. People on here though we could get Giannis for Dick + RJ + 2x FRPs.
Them people should never be taken seriously....Its the same crowd that thought we could get KD back in the day for OG/GTJr.....They are delusional when it comes to the trade market for elite level players and always bias to how much value our players have league wide.....I blame the one off Kawhi deal we pulled off for the delusion....
And if you disagree with the hive of delusional posters they all gang up to attack you as if you are the crazy one saying they will ask for more (Obviously)

Why not? Hes had his problems lately, but few guards can score like Morant.
He's a perfect buy low candidate. Ja Morant would instantly become the best player on this roster.
considering what they just traded Bane for, what do you think the buy low price for Ja looks like? Salary-wise you're probably looking at doing something like IQ+Dick, but then they'll probably want another 4-5 picks on top of that.

Giannis is going to get real useful players with upside pontential, but this was always the case. People are too blinded by the pick count here. We've been talking Scottie, 2-3 picks and some swaps. Houston can beat it if the include 1 of Amen/Sengun. OKC can beat it if they include 1 of Chet/JDub. SAS can beat it with the 2nd this year and Castle. And Jazz can probably beat it with Markkanen. Otherwise, no one else has the combination of a real player + picks that we have.

No.
Edit: I could’ve been kinder. No thank you and it’s because we can probably get Melo for far less.

Hold on a sec. If Bane gets 4x firsts… what’s Scottie’s value?
If Bane gets 4x firsts, what’s IQ’s value on a sub-max deal for 3 years?
If Bane gets 4x firsts, what’s RJ’s value on a sub max deal for 2 years?
Stop calling people delusional and start speaking to their trade suggestions.

It is a god-awful trade. Melo is getting so overrated. His defense reduces his value.
This isn't on him alone but since the team drafted him their record is 143-257. They don't know how to win and he's the head of the snake.
That trade package is fine for a Giannis. But a hell no for a Lamelo tier star.

It hasn’t. If Bane is worth 4 firsts, RJ is worth at least two now.

Goga was actually really good for that last season. Pretty much equal to Poeltl level production.

The tank is long dead we are not trading for picks.

Yeah those 3 1st rd picks (one of them becoming Ja'kobe) and brown who was traded for Ingram were nothing /s
