I was told over and over again that SGA was a retread of Delon Wright on here (I think by that dude Fischella) when I was saying he’s possibly one of the best players in that draft.

Presti has a clear type with guards like SGA, Westbrook, and Oladipo who can pull up from the midrange, blow by bigs off the dribble, finish explosively at the rim, and play defense like a wing.

I think teams are catching up and thats why a lot of teams sounds very interested to draft VJ.

I've been inching Tre and Kasparas up my board.

Regarding Tre, the shooting projection is more or less flawless and he's very efficient with the basketball. His 'turnover economy' was impressive for a high-usage freshman playing in the SEC, especially against T50 comp.

He's like maxed out McCain, height/length wise. He's less inventive and physical attacking downhill than McCain, but his natural tools are far superior.

Feel like his upside is capped as a niche scorer unless he unlocks dominant slashing and/or passing, but he's a swing on a talent that I could at least understand if we made him our player.

I said its the holy grail because there is like 3 guys who fit that mold fully lol....maybe 5 but some are aging out.

To be that guy you have to be able to shoot from every where, be able to get by your guy and finish at the rim, get to the ft line, be a good passer, be able to run the break with and without the ball, and survive on defense.

Thats a lot of **** and if you are missing or lacking in any of those areas, you are now in the Wiggins zone at best. This is also why a lot of the guys who reach that level aren't even expected too....lots of late bloomers. IIRC like Tatum was expected to be more of a spot up guy by his haters (and me) and sans maybe Negrodamus lol no one really expected him to get to THIS level. Kawhii came out as a raw rebounder with stupid long arms and hands.

Just a rarer than expected profile imo.

Tre is definitely intriguing. He's #3 on my big board simply based on his supposed work ethic.

This vid has some similar thoughts regarding Tre and of course the chance that Ace could end up the best from this class. But that's not the point here.

Such a good draft overall, and Philly is fortunate to be in this situation

I can tell they know what they’re doing in the draft if they have Kasparas ranked that high.

And yeah, it’s hard to see Tre failing.

Pending what the “stuff” entails, I’d be interested, but I know Morey would likely hate it.

What was the deal with his shooting, I think I read something about his wrist? His misses were really bad, like barely touching the rim.

I like the type of player (fantastic FTr and FT%!), but the tape wasn't really that impressive to me. I think his playmaking is great for a wing, but pretty meh for a lead guard. He makes some basic reads out of the P&R, but the accuracy of the passes are quite often terrible. Also it seems like he makes some premature reads and is not capable of quickly reacting to the defense. For example, if he's running a pick and pop, it seems like he decided prior to the play that he'll make the kick out pass back to the shooting big man. But if the defense jumps that pass, he throws it anyway. The turnover numbers confirm that lack of ball security, ability to react to changing situations.

Defense also seems really bad. Doesn't make any body contact when he's defending pick and roll stuff, opponents blow past him with relative ease and there's the quite frequent ball watching off the ball.

I would have liked him if he was 2 inches bigger and could act a big forward playmaker, but as a guard I don't think that his basketball skills are good enough. Think that Knueppel is on a different level to be honest.

He jacked his left wrist up. There are twitter picture out there showing how swollen his wrist is. I think it was after 15 games? His stats took a nose dive after that.

He's 2nd on my board of who I want the Sixers to draft. Not worried about his turnovers, think that can be coached out of him. His defense is "ok" I think he can get to league average. He will probably always be a meh defender but at least he plays defense. Lol
