What was the deal with his shooting, I think I read something about his wrist? His misses were really bad, like barely touching the rim.
I like the type of player (fantastic FTr and FT%!), but the tape wasn't really that impressive to me. I think his playmaking is great for a wing, but pretty meh for a lead guard. He makes some basic reads out of the P&R, but the accuracy of the passes are quite often terrible. Also it seems like he makes some premature reads and is not capable of quickly reacting to the defense. For example, if he's running a pick and pop, it seems like he decided prior to the play that he'll make the kick out pass back to the shooting big man. But if the defense jumps that pass, he throws it anyway. The turnover numbers confirm that lack of ball security, ability to react to changing situations.
Defense also seems really bad. Doesn't make any body contact when he's defending pick and roll stuff, opponents blow past him with relative ease and there's the quite frequent ball watching off the ball.
I would have liked him if he was 2 inches bigger and could act a big forward playmaker, but as a guard I don't think that his basketball skills are good enough. Think that Knueppel is on a different level to be honest.
