I thought about it after I was being impatient. We have the 50th pick. I can't imagine it will take a lot of time preparing for the draft. Still. The offseason is about to begin. I would feel more comfortable having a HC in place for that. Even though we only have 8-10mil to spend or whatever.

What gives you this impression about more interviews?

One of the reports said they had interviews lined up next week and generally they're talking about a long process.

Like you said, our draft pick likely won't play a big part in the coaching search and free agency should be around the margins as well.

Curious who else they interview. Hope we don't miss out on any small trades while we're conducting this search.

he got an extension a year ago that starts this season. so maybe that's not happening and he's just getting the high priced assistants.

maybe they're working on tearing it up and adding some more money per year. i don't see how they commit to him for the next 7 years or whatever it is.

Yeah. To me it looked like they were tampering and trying to float a smoke screen. Agent favors make more sense now but, didn't Kidd already sign one? Were they really just shaking the trees?

We don't need the media to know that the Knicks are a clown show. They have proved it objectively.

Just hire Rick Brunson and get it over with. That's the direction the Knicks are going. They don't want to piss Jalen off and see a repeat of the KP scenario.

They've been anything but a clown show over the last 4-5 years. We're so desirable even Durant wants to be traded to us. Stop living in the past and get with the times.

Knicks aren't even on Durant's destination list LOL.

You need to really do your research before you start a back and forth with me on here. It was reported numerous times over the last few days that Durant wanted the Knicks, and we turned him down. You can have your opinion, but you're throwing down comments like they're facts and they're not.

Why not both?

Leon reaches out to to agents and says "Does your client have interest in the role if it became available?"

Agent/client says yes.

Leon requests permission, team says no.

Agent/client then says to their teams "Suppressing my interest comes at the cost of you proving your interest"

I don't think it's as simple as Leon reaching out with the explicit purpose of getting people paid, but its a byproduct of the process that doesn't make Leon, agent, or client unhappy.

yeah we certainly don't need socialist minutes...like we do need going from 42 minutes for our guys to 32 minutes.

But there should be a happy medium there why also giving young guys minutes and prioritizing there bench's development.

We need a coach to get to us over the hump for a title. Developing rookies is not a priority. We need a coach who can get the best out of our top guys first and foremost. From what I'm reading that's Brown.

Supposedly we'll see more interviews but, as of now, I'm thinking Brown is the better choice.

We need at least 2 of them them to be rotation-level players who can steal 10 mins in the playoffs if we're going anywhere next season.

developing our some of our rookies to be contributors is exactly how you get there. Just like Indy has developed there bench to be contributors we need to do the same.

I know. We need the HC to give them opportunities that Thibs didn't. That's not the most important part of what we need from the HC though. If they can play they will earn their minutes. The top of the rotation is what needs the most attention.
