Criticizing Iguodala for being the fifth best player on the greatest team of all time is such an Ace brain take.

Iggy was the ultimate glue guy. I loved him. I feel like if Cooper doesn’t become a superstar, #1 scoring option. He would be Iggy.

Probably because some Philly fans can be unrealistic and lack grace lol Gave Iggy a bunch of grief because he didn’t fill Iversons shoes.

Alright, then we'll criticize Iggy for being the best player on a play-in level team. If that's VJ's upside then he's not the right pick at #3 overall. We don't need a tank commander, a treadmill commander, or a mere role player on a contender.

Ace is the best player on a tanking team.

If we're doing the player comparison thing where they are literally the player they are compared to if everything works out really well...

He's nowhere close to Iguodala. Iggy was a better handler and distributor, better defender, and had great size and length.

VJ Melton is only better than Iggy as a spot-up shooter, and even there he's nothing special.

To this point, Wemby, arguably the best prospect since LeBron, has been the best player on a tanking team these past two years. You’re a huge outlier if you’re a young player that is significantly contributing to winning, let alone being the best player on a winning team.

The reference was to hating on getting Iguodala at 3 because he was the best player on a fringe playoff team. Ace isn’t even that. I’ve now spelled out the context.

I can put together my HS and schoolyard mix tape and you'd swear I'd go D1. I can assure you, I wouldn't even be the water boy for a D3

Yea, I’m just saying that the way we talk about these prospects sometimes, I don’t think we realize all of them are likely to fall into the category of, if they are your best player during their rookie contract, you’re probably in trouble. Just takes awhile for a lot of these guys to get to a level where you are leading a team to the playoffs.
