I know everyone is going to hate it, but the Suns have a more balanced roster. Both contracts expire a year earlier than Beals contract.
Why would the Blazers do this? I think you live in the PDX so you might have more knowledge - but Beal is 53 this year and 57m next year -- it would take more than a FRP
Now, Jrue and Grant for Beal - -I can see that working if the Suns can add a salary
Blazers are trying to make the playoffs this year and they don't want to extend Ayton. To me, Beal's contract for two seasons isn't that tough a pill to swallow, especially when you got Shaedon Sharpe, Toumani looking for extensions soon. Then follow up with Deni looking to get paid, and then Jrue's salary is off the books when Beal's contract expires at the same time, and then even Jerami Grant. Salary cap wise, it makes a bit of sense as opposed to extending Ayton if you are the Blazers. It would obviously depend on whether or not Beal would accept a deal to go the Blazers. I do think Beal would perform better in a smaller market.
