What is left for Giannis? Spurs or stay put is all I see. No way he is letting them send him to a bad team that will be drained of assets without enough left to compete. He could stay where here is if that’s the case.

If they are waiting on what the bucks do this offseason, I don’t know why. They have to know there really is no path to bring in a better team. What can they use? Maybe I’m missing something.

Then you sand where necessary and prime. Now the house looks a bit better but still pretty bad. You don't judge the house here either, because there's more work left.

Then you add the paint. You paint one coat in some places, and more in others. Whatever it needs. You clean everything up and, "Hey, the house looks great."

The Celtics just got done scraping.

Great analogy. This house has good bones, it’s solidly built. Just needs some paint and tasteful landscaping.

Hey now. We don’t have budget for landscaping until 2027 at the earliest.

But the kid across the street has a lawnmower.

Simons could at least apply for that role
Paul Pierce appreciation society.

Well the draft hasn't happened yet. Also Brad isn't done.
Even with that, I would start Scheireman or Hauser over Niang. Tillman is also so underrated due to Coach Joe Mazzulla-Thibodeau and
is short rotations. Tillman was starting for Memphis in the playoffs a few seasons ago and giving Anthony Davis a hard time.

A team that starts a 28th pick in the draft and Kornet and either Pritchard or Simons is not a threat.

They are the portland trailblazers....competing for the playin and a middle of the draft pick.

You take any top 5-10 player in the league off their team, that team won't be a threat. That's what Boston will be next year without Tatum, a non threat for a title.

Also there is a chance Luke isn't back next season. You had him in your starting lineup.

I would also love to know what Brooklyn will be doing with 5 1st round picks. And still a ton of cap space.

I’m about to slow down, but I have trouble sleeping, who knows. I may miss it. I don’t do notifications, I despise them, so that’s not going to help me.

Depends on what Simons can bring, we’re currently only down Jrue (the idea of him from the cup run).

Al and Korny will be known later, so can’t really say.

We really aren’t much different than last season before injury. Yes, we’re down Tatum, this same team was good without him (won without Jrue too IIRC). Just stay good until he comes back a month or so before the playoffs.

I never said we’ll win or get to the chip, I’m just not counting us out and thinking will be trash. We haven’t done much of anything that tells me we are much worse. Much worse than the chip team? ABSOLUTELY, but that was what we were last season anyway.

I know what some of you are saying, I heard you, I’m just not listening right now.

I really want to know what has changed from last season, so far? What have we lost?

I would rather us be trash than roll around with this mid as **** roster for years to come.

Who gives a **** about winning games next year

So you want to trade brown? Like, with Tatum here, you better have a player that is as good as Brown here. You can’t sacrifice Tatum’s career by not having a good enough no. 2. You need players that are as good as Brown or project to be better in 2026-27 when Tatum returns full strength.

Not opposed. But I don’t want to bring in Amen Thompson only to have to pay him more than Brown is being paid when his contract is up.

I was anti it prior to the Porzingis trade. But honestly now I am seriously thinking we should consider it.

I just don’t see us miraculously pulling similar players out of our ass.

I expected us to get some sort of asset for Porzingis.

We ended up with Porzingis and Holiday because of the assets we had in Rob, Marcus, Brogdon etc.

We don’t miraculously find assets like that now to obtain more talent on the roster.

I think we may well be in for a **** show of a time now.

Shams confirms again Celtics are listening to offers on Brown and White. He’s not saying they will do it, but they have an ear to the phone in case they get blown away.

I wonder what’s brads definition of blown away for Jaylen.

Next season it’s going to be very boring. Unless Brad Steven’s lands curry embid & Giannis to be teamed with Tatum.

I mean, you listen to offers on everybody all the time. I'm sure there are a lot of teams that would like to have Jaylen or white. But I still think there's only a very, very, VERY small chance either guy gets moved. Especially after the C's have already gotten out of the 2nd apron, the pressure to move money is much lower now.

A Tatum/Brown/White core has proven to be a championship contender if you can put some decent role players around them. If you trade one of those guys you may spend a significant amount of time chasing their replacement, I don't know why you'd do that when you can just roll with the gap year next season then go right back to contending if you make some prudent moves in the summer of 2026.

So by all means listen, but to me to move either guy takes a deal better than the Bridges to NYK or Bane to ORL deals. It needs to be insane. I doubt such a deal is out there.

But the Celtics STILL HAVE ASSETS. Anfernee Simons is a 26 year old 20ppg scorer. Hauser is on a very valuable long term deal, as is Pritchard. I think either guy could get you at least a first round pick, maybe even a decent one. They have last years #30 in Schierman along with #28 and #32 to trade this year. They have all their own firsts moving forward except in 2029. They have added financial flexibility with Jrue and KP off the books.

The assets may not be elite, but they have enough to fill out a team around Tatum/White/Brown, it just won't be next year. Next year is a "bridge" year, it is what it is.

Hauser needs to be traded. They have Scheirman and Petersen, who may be able to take those minutes. Are they as good as Hauser? It they can do the job and are cheaper.
