Tax for the 24/25 season? Those salary/tax numbers are frozen on the last day of the regular season, and they can't enter the tax for the just finished season.
For next season? They can absolutely enter deeper into the tax, and have up until the last day of the 25/26 season to make moves to change that.

Am I understanding that the tax calculation and the apron limitations are separate?
