Let's trade for RWIII/Ayton.
Screw the tax.
Ayton is horrible. Definitely not a Raptor-type player.

Though they might just run smallball.
PG IQ - Shead - JaKobe
SG Barrett - JaKobe - Battle
SF Ingram - Dick - Mogbo
PF Barnes - CMB - Fleming
C Poeltl - Fleming/CMB - Chomche

Gotta think Celtics are prioritizing Kornet this offseason with Porzingis gone, but maybe I'm wrong. He would be ideal backup C for us though.

salary wise, there's no good matches for ayton. even if you want to use rj, we need to make up a 7 mil gap in salaries which means we'd have to send out ochai or gradey too - which is a no go.
RW3 makes mle money which means we'd have to trade some of our rookies too. that's a no-go too.
Teams gauging the trade market for a backup center are monitoring Day’Ron Sharpe, who’s expected to return soon from a hamstring injury for the Nets. With Noah Clowney out for at least a couple of weeks with a sprained ankle, it’s an opportunity for the 23-year-old Sharpe to jump back into the rotation immediately. Sharpe, who’s eligible for restricted free agency this summer, is being monitored by the Grizzlies, Clippers, Pelicans, Lakers, and Raptors, league sources told HoopsHype.

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Would be post-RJ trade presumably (Malik Monk or Collin Sexton?). John Collins could be an alternative but that doesn't free up much in the way of additional cap space.
Brooklyn has too many guards I think they can get better for Cam. If Toronto could pull that off you got to do the deal. Williams is washed he can't stay healthy and don't like the money owed to him I easily take GogaRapsobsessed7 wrote:Idea:
To Toronto: Cam Johnson + Robert Williams
To Portland: Ochai Agbaji + Colin Castleton
To Brooklyn: RJ Barrett + Cash (TOR)
It’s basically cap neutral for us for this year. We get a shooter that probably fits better on the team with a shot blocking C.
Portland gets a promising wing for their C glut. Save some cap long term
Brooklyn gets younger, Toronto sends cash to cover some of the $ they are taking on up front. Maybe a 2nd or something needs to go to Brooklyn also.
IQ / Shead / Hepburn
Ingram / Walter / Martin
Johnson / Dick / Battle
Barnes / CMB / Mogbo
Poeltl / Williams / Chomche
It’s pretty balanced I feel. Another option is the magic
To Toronto: Cam Johnson + Goga Bitadze
To Orlando: Ochai Agabji + Maxwell Lewis
To Brooklyn: RJ Barrett + TOR 2026 2nd + Cash
This version we save 4.5 million against the tax to fill out the roster which I kind of like more
Q / Shead
Ingram / Walter
Johnson / Dick
Barnes / CMB / Mogbo
Poeltl / Bitadze
Add some vets and depth pieces and I think your looking good.

Barrett for RW3 and Thybulle works since he exercised his player option

Trade Ochai Agbaji and cash for Cam Whitmore?
