Do you know how many franchises have reached 48 wins over the last 4 years?

Hint.

Not many.

The fact that this is used a failure on Masai's part only makes him look better.

I have no problem with change, and maybe it was time to part ways, but downplaying Masai's record is completely ridiculous.

Masai's record from 2013-2019 was tremendous. His record from 2020 to now was not.

He's gone because of 2020 to now.

He's gone because Ed is a cheap nepo baby who doesn't like guys named Masai Ujiri

100% a money thing. Anyone who thinks differently is out to lunch.

I'm worried about our drafting going forward. Say what you want about the recent vision, but very, very few teams have drafted as well as we have during the Masai era.

So you’re telling me that this team, as is currently constructed is only worse than 5 other teams in the East?

Did free agency come and go already?

But yes..add in a replacement level center and this team has the potential to be a top 6 team in the east. Pacers, Celtics, and Bucks are all taking a step back with injuries.

So tell me which 5 teams will be better than us assuming no other moves. You really didn’t answer my question. It should be an easy exercise and let’s assume all the teams stay the same as of today.

Did you ask me to list out the teams I feel are better the the Raptors? Maybe read your first post before being a dumbass about it.

I answered the only question you asked..you just seem to struggle reading.

Wow some of you really throw out the racist title towards Ed.

I don't understand where that idea comes from ?

Side note: i live in Alberta not Ontario, so I don't hear every little detail about he guy

C'mon... Rogers spends on our teams. They just gave a power hitter that can't hit a homer $500mil. The Raptors and Leafs are always capped out. Maybe Masai threw a dart with a stupid number attached?

Maybe this has been Bobby's team for a while

This is more Masai than it is Ed. Or least equal .... But I'd lean on it being Masai since Pelley has autonomy.

And that's exactly why everyone else in management is kept on and even extended.

You do know no one here is stupid enough to buy what you're peddling right?

He's just another flavor of it'sDanger. They post with confidence to distract from their inability to process at any noticeable depth. Just a bunch of hot air.

This is literally you

So if you believe we have the potential to be a top 6 team in the East. Tell me which 5 teams will be better than us in your opinion. Because we’ll be better than the remaining teams. Yes my first post was calling out posters who believe this because in my opinion our team doesn’t have that potential, but if you believe we do then it should be super easy to list the names with the top 6 teams in the East without calling me a dumbass…..

Don't really understand why we're looking for a new president. Unless they go out and get Presti, any retread ex-executive they hire for president will be a step down from Masai. Why not just promote Bobby and play this off like a cost cutting / restructuring thing? Stupid decisions.

New owners have no clue how any of this works and think they can make it happen on arrogance alone. Yet another dumb moment in the history of the franchise

It’s not performance-related. It’s contractual / can’t work with Ed Rogers related.

If it was on-court performance related, they would have let everyone go in April and let a new group take over the draft and FA process.

It's both. Ed no doubt asked him to take a pay cut on his ludicrous contract for an extension because of his underperformance these past 5 years and Masai's ego was never going to allow him to do that.

imagine being worried about a nepo baby's money.

Yeah, we need to divorce the outcome of an action that had some merits on its own: the firing of Masai. And whatever incredibly stupid reasoning some moron failson decided to use to get to that action.

This is now incompetent ownership fully in charge. Whatever good comes out of any actions will happen in spite of that.

I truly don't know. I don't follow other sports. From my perspective it just seems like we fired a top NBA executive for no reason. I thought money made the most sense. An ego driven firing is quite possibly even worse.

This hurts but i had a feeling we were 1 year away max from him stepping away. Im still confident in the front office but Masai felt like the heart and soul of the toronto raptors
