Ends up being a 3 for 4 deal when they sign DA for the Lakers, Blazers have the open roster spots.
It's the Lakers. Do you think the League would investigate the Lakers?mighty_duck wrote:DusterBuster wrote:Calling it now, Grant and one of Reath, Rupert or Murray is going to the Lakers for Vanderbilt (Blazers previously had interest in the Cronin era), Vincent, Kleber and Knecht. If this happens, I wouldn't be surprised if the league opens up a tampering investigation.
If it holds, Maybe POR or LAL lose a 2nd round pick, and DA is not allowed to sign in LA.
Still. that is a solid outcome for us if it comes true.

Watching ESPN and they were just talking about the Lakers and how they're valuing cap space next summer. LeBron is likely moving on, as well next year. If that is true, no way do they take on Grant. I'd love it if they would though!!!
Rui, Vincent, and Knecht should work!

I'm probably wrong, but my take on this is that when the Ayton news was first announced, some guy with a twitter account or blog simply speculated that maybe there was a connection between Ayton going to LA and Grant being traded there. Speculated without a shred evidence or a hint of rumor. And that speculation has propagated to a bunch of uninformed asshats saying: "this is what I'm hearing"

Slamming chairs and throwing tantrums for a lack of effort? You don't slam chairs and throw a tantrum if you don't care so I don't know how both those things can be completely true.
I dunno. Maybe he was frustrated with himself. Maybe he was angry because he felt his efforts were unappreciated. But there has to be some greater level of nuance here than is being reported.
But that's just how the news is today. Sensationalist and one sided. I dunno why it seems to get worse and worse in the social media age, when characters are limited and views are money. I just find myself so skeptical of all of it, profiting on misery and division and tons and tons of outrage engagement bait.
