He started the first four playoff games last year…

I will foolishly choose to believe Doc will have learned come next playoffs. Either way, cheap salary filler contract for a guy who can soak up regular season minutes. What I like is most of our contracts so far are (obliviously) on the short and cheap side.

Never sign veterans that aren't playoff caliber. Prince isn't playoff caliber.

Have you met Doc?

We needed to Doc proof the roster. How have people already forgotten that he STARTED this guy at the two? Blatant failure.

there is literally no way to "docproof" or "coach proof" a lineup. what a silly way to build a team

prince is an outstanding add for the money. culture guy. shooter. play him at the 3-4 in a decent minute back up role. if we move kuzma and patc he becomes a clutch contributor instantly

on a vet min, i dont care. we were always going to have a few guys on the roster who dont matter. at least there is some continuity with him.

Losing Brook for nothing pisses me off so much. What awful asset management, just awful.

if we trotted out the exact same team as last year minus brook with a different center.....and got right back to the same spot we were in for the playoffs it would be a glorious season

I look forward to seeing a starting lineup of Prince and Kuzma.

Prince is the epitome of a one dimensonal player. Can only shoot standing still. Can't rebound, not a good passer. Not a good defender.

And Doc loves him and apparently so does Horst.

For minimum when they shoot 40+% from 3, why not?
Don’t blame Horst for Doc’s incompetence. Horst built a roster capable of beating the Eastern Conference champion w/o Lillard.
It’s not his decision to get rid of Doc. If it was Doc would be long gone. Anyone with half a basketball mind can see how useless Doc is. Unfortunately our owners only have 1/4 of a brain combined.

League minimum guys who have a legitimate skill are good to have. Prince is a top notch three point shooter. That’s a fine deal.

Ajax, Livingston and Smith (gets a pass for now) haven’t shown a legitimate skill.

They tried to trade him last year and nobody wanted him. They blew it when they re-signed him.

the guy was universally agreed as a great vet min signing last year....led the league in 3 pt % for most of the year if im not mistaken.....but plays too many minutes at the wrpong position.......signs again on the same vet min....and fans are butt hurt....nuts

Prince is a worthless player who our cancer of a coach inexplicably decided to start out of position for most of the season. So naturally Horst not only brings him back, but does so on a 2 year deal and gives him a PO. Stupid ass team.

Prince shot 44% from three and we were still better when he sat on the bench. Giving him an option is lunacy from Horst. Team can't help itself.

I get the frustration, but I don't think it's fair to take it out on Prince. He's useful.

Nah he’s pretty damn bad and there was no reason to bring him back after what we saw last year, let alone on a 2 year deal.

the dude can play 2-4 effectively off the bench and shot 44% from 3 and is on a vet min deal.

our coach is a separate issue

If Prince is used as a back up he is a great minimum player.

The vet compensation makes TP a good deal. He comes off the bench and does his job

It's pretty naive to think that they signed Prince to be a non-factor.If they weren't expecting much from this position, then take a flyer on a young guy .

This is a horrible signing, not because it costs too much, but because it means they see him as a key contributor.
