Ty Jerome free agency

I don't think anyone is going to overpay him after his performance in the last two games.

A minor consolation prize if it turns out that way, but Jerome has had to start and face good defenders before; but perhaps none that have bothered to scout and prepare for him?

The thing is we see this sort of thing even with stars on the rise - the question becomes whether Jerome can adjust to the adjustments, and whether anyone wants to pay to find out given his limited athletic profile?

I'm sure they'll look to cut salary elsewhere if they decide to resign him. I re-did the calculation and assuming no other cuts I think it's actually closer to $78M. $92M ($14M salary + $78M luxury tax) is a lot of money to resign Ty Jerome. I don't care how rich you are.

Gilbert paid scrubs like JR 'soup' Smith, Tristan Kardashian, and Shump money is not a factor.

I 100% guarantee the Cavs do not look to cut salary this summer if they re-sign TJ. They knew what they were doing. You have a 2 or 3 year window here then reassess.

The bigger issue is the 2nd apron restrictions make team building difficult but with or without TJ, Cavs are a 2nd apron team next season.

He wont agree to the mini MLE to go to DAL, when the full MLE may be available to him.

I read Denver last month when the Cavs were eliminated but not much since.

The latest rumor is the Grizzlies, obviously wouldn't start but maybe they can pay him, unsure on their cap situation.

it's a risky signing. you dont know if he can continue this especially in what will be more minutes and responsibility. detroit needs alot but i dont think that's the best use of their cap. they need a legit scorer.

Houston could have cap space depending on what they do with FVV.
