I have to say things worked out alright so far from a draft perspective. Despite not getting a lotto pick because we just had to win the playin (if you ignore we might of got the Mavs luck) we had a lotto quality rookie fall to us and now own our pick in the next upcoming draft. Now we just have to focus on developing the young guns and hopefully getting a lotto pick next year.

It remains to be seen if well actually do that, but its absolutely what we should do imo.

Thinking on this more. A $22m dollar cap hit for 5yrs for the privilege to sign Myles Turner for like $25m per year is certainly a decision. That’s pretty horrendous mismanagement right there.

I fully disagree that the LeBron stuff is fantasy, I’ve been watching him and his people move now for 20 years. The way they put out what they put out the words they said, the respect given to the Lakers organization, it all points to an exit, but trying to do it in a stand up way.

This is how you know its fantasy. When has doing it in a stand up way ever been LeBron's M.O.? Same guy who informed Cleveland's FO he was leaving on national tv (great theatre fwiw). Same guy who sent us on a wild goose chase of preferred free agents to pursue while he was setting up backdoor meetings with Dan Gilbert and informing Cavs players he was going there. Same guy whose agent allegedly gave the Lakers advance notice of his statement on him opting into his contract yet "knew nothing" about AD being traded. This is all part of their circus.

I’d like to think that at over 40 years old that LeBron had learned from previous stops, plus he needs the Lakers to work with him to get what he wants.
