Huge pass on LeBron.

Can the championship that we win have nothing to do with that man?

No thank you.

Yabuty an upgrade over Precious
Clarkson an upgrade over Terry Johnson

Now the Knicks need one of 3Pac, MObi or Dink to step up to be that extra wing they need.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I had him in mind, too but I see him more of a 2/3 than a 3/4. The Knicks need one more 6-9ish guy, although, McCullar...who needs one of your knicknames, is only 6-7 but I suppose he may turn out to be strong enough to hold his own against most SFs, I just haven't seen it yet at the NBA level so we'll see.

I will say he's probably the best defender out of all these young kids so that's a leg up for him.

Man, Immanuel Quickley signing that 5 years 175m contract before the CBA and the contracts coming out of this offseason. Quickley's agent was real smart or lucky

PLEASE NO!!!

I DO NOT want Lebron using us to cement HIS OWN image in history!!

IF he came here and IF he won a championship, the narrative would be all about him. The headlines would be that "LEBRON won" instead of "the KNICKS won." There would always be an asterisk after the win, and the history books would be all about how Lebron saved us.

I hope this rumor is false. No thank you, Lebron!! :noway:

How are they suggesting LeBron to the Knicks happens? There was no rumor. Just talk about would LeBron want to go to the Knicks? Of course he would of it gave him a better chance but, again, how does he get here?

Wait... your main concern with acquiring a 40 year old Lebron is what the narrative would be if we won a championship with him?

Wait... your main concern with acquiring a 40 year old Lebron is what the narrative would be if we won a championship with him?

YEP!

The narrative IMO would be about how Lebron "did it again" and "ended his career on a high note," instead of how the KNICKS were able to win a chip after a 50+ year drought.

I don't want a championship by any means necessary. I also don't want Lebron using us for one final hurrah.

I'm Knick4Real and I approve this message!! :D

Ok. So my main concerns would be that he makes 50 million dollars and hasn't led the Lakers anywhere meaningful in 5 years with fairly stacked rosters. I think we'd worsen our team to get him. He's not able to bring two way prowess for extended periods anymore.

Over the long term it would be devastating and Mitch and OG would make the Lakers contenders. **** no.

If LeBron forces a buyout out and signs here for the vet min, I wouldn’t say no…

I agree 100%.

I don't want Lebron anywhere near our team. I also don't think it's financially possible and I agree his being 40 and on the downside of his career is a legitimate concern. However, my first thought is what I stated about him stealing the shine from our (potential) win for perpetuity. That would irk me permanently.

If this was financially doable I would be for Lebron joining the Knicks. After 50+ years of no title I feel winning it is the biggest priority...I do not care much about narratives etc.

I do however think that if the FO was seriously contemplating such a move they would have gone for Durant instead of LBJ.

BTW the Knicks and Rockets could potentially become good trade partners during the season.

The Rockets actually are full of forwards and Centers but are missing guards. If the Knicks extend Mikal at 30-35mill. they would actually have a contract they could turn into 2 good players from a team like the Rockets.

New reality of Son ship!
All who receive and believe in Jesus, given the right to become children of God. Not born of flesh, but born of Spirit. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Glory that came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

That would be a highly questionable deal. We can't degrade our depth like that. Also I feel like we are out our bare minimum defensively to truly contend for a title. We can't give up 3 of our 5 premier defenders.

Again I think if the Knicks wanted to go this type of route they would have gone for Durant.
