Been awfully quiet in here since i posted those sources.. A lot of people have said Dame wants to come back. I've heard it from multiple players, people close to him etc on social media.
I think it's been quiet because we all remember that it wasn't a trade request rescind, it was a 'trade right now but still want to go to Miami once everything can be worked out' rescinding.
https://www.patreon.com/posts/when-no-one-is-90011893Here's again a point where it's very much dependent on which viewpoint you are sympathetic to. Do you believe Lillard deserves the chance to walk back his request and mend those broken fences? Do you believe that Cronin had every right to say you picked a direction and we're sticking with it? I believe there's room for both views to exist and to also believe that both are also right. There's also the fact that this return was only temporary, a way for the Blazers to extend talks into the season that would ultimately land Lillard in Miami.
This is from the article that Danny Marang wrote afterwards. You may remember this article because he posted that he only included the parts about his personal conversations with Damian with Damian's permission. While I do not trust Marang overall, when he's citing direct conversations and phone calls with a player with the player's permission, I will trust that one.
But mostly I feel people might think arguing with you on this topic is fruitless. You're very set in your frustration and anger. While that's understandable, you aren't exactly open to seeing other views or hearing other news and just want to get into it again and again. I think that combined with what the rest of us remember is why it's 'been awfully quiet'.
