Hopefully we don't spam bad mid range looks early in the clock, but if Ingram is our bail out option he is better at that than most of the NBA.
With him, I will be happy if he's at about 20/5/5 on league-average efficiency and plays 60+ games.
I feel like that seems obvious, but sometimes the nature of these conversations focuses on negatives or pessimism or whatever and certain opinions become unclear.
I don't expect Ingram to play as well as he did in 2021, particularly if we're getting him to take a lot of middies and he isn't getting all the way to the rim a ton. But that'd be fine, because he's a good passer and he moves the defense and it's still a step up from last year... and honestly, because he isn't a superstar.
He's KD from Wish, and that's a pretty good deal for us whenever he's healthy. I think he will exert a palpable positive influence on our offense with his ability to attack from a live dribble and the threat of his shooting from all over the floor, as well as his passing.
