The bigger and two years old is what he mentioned.
I like Battle though and proven to be pretty decent in spot minutes. I'd waive Castleton maybe for him, feels like we can find a Castleton player anytime we want.
He's 2cm taller and 15 lbs lighter. We can find a Houston player anytime we want, too, apparently.
Not a Canadian player with potential. Houstan is a Toronto-area player which we have shown a history to prioritize and should continue to do that. This guy does play on the national team and we want players comfortable being here.
Caleb has shown an improvement in each of his three seasons, and even his advance defensive metrics are better than Battle including better steal% and dBPM. My main deciding factor is that he is a high character worker:
Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley praised Caleb Houstan’s dedication and preparation, emphasizing the young forward’s strong work ethic.
“The kid works. And I say this with no hesitation – he might be one of the hardest workers I’ve seen. This kid is in early, stays late, comes back, works on his shot… he is determined, he is focused, he’s a pro. He stays ready no matter if his number is called for two minutes or 22 minutes. He’s going to stay ready and that’s what you’ve got to love about him and the way he represents being a professional.”
https://clutchpoints.com/nba/orlando-magic/magic-news-jamahl-mosley-raves-about-caleb-houstan-work-ethic-after-breakout-performanceI read some other stuff about him how he just lives and breathes basketball and doesn't even buy clothes, he just wears the free stuff given to him.
"Before and after practice, he lives, breathes, eats, sleeps basketball," Banchero said. "He doesn't really do much else. Man doesn't even have ... freaking many clothes in his closet. He just wears all the free stuff he gets."
In an era where the rise of social media has turned the pregame tunnel walk into a fashion show of its own, Houstan – Orlando's only player without an active social media account – can be seen sporting team-issued Magic, Michigan or Team Canada gear with regularity when entering an arena.
