And yeah, Suns save $200m in luxury tax this season and $150m next season ($350m tax total) with this one move to stretch Beal.

Also, Beal hasn't been *good* since the NBA made the foul baiting adjustment and his free throws got cut in half. His defense has been suspect since he got off his rookie contract. His on/off numbers cratered when he got traded to the Suns (-8.7 last season). He's managed 60 games once in the past 6 years.
I'm a little surprised at how much buzz he's generating.
