A source close to Deandre Ayton said Tuesday that the Pacers would be “considered” as a potential landing spot. Ayton would be a challenge for the Pacers. He would have to demonstrate his ability to improve off the court and that he could again earn starter’s minutes on a team that still has high aspirations.
We would be considered,.... yeah,.. nope. We good. Small ball it is! OB,... get :

) yourself a ladder,... this is going to be fun.
I don't see the small ball thing working, the Pacers have had the shot blocker going all the way back to JO and Dale Davis. This would be an even weaker rebounding team that currently is, they'd have to shoot the lights out because offensive rebounds would be a rarity.
Not actually saying it will work. Saying that IMO, I’ll trust our coaches & the players now on the team to figure something out, to be the best this team can be. What that is, at this point? Idk.
But I would rather trust the team as it exists than bring in someone in a desperation move, that isn’t going to buy in, and is likely to damage the work ethic, culture, camaraderie, & harmony of the team.
If this team loses every game in 25-26, but still has the connectedness they displayed this year, with Hope leading into 26-27, I’m ok with that.
1 season can make a champion, but 1 season shouldn’t break a championship caliber team.
