Houston with Amen and Tari Eason have done ok. Oakley and Mason are two others from further back in the day.

Draymond and Iggy? lol. Closest thing that comes to mind.

You know what? That's actually pretty good. We also have Ingram as our KD. We just need IQ and Gradey/JaKobe to be our Curry and Klay lol

CMB has a natural feel around the basket, already has some post up game. SB is focusing on the mid range, 3p and faced up with the ball in hand. Offensively their are quite different.

It was more true to the sport. A more pure version.

What a difference from today's game. In the 90's every possession was like a 24 second battle, players beating up on each other to try and create space for a shot.

Compared to today's game, where they sprint down the court and throw up a shot from anywhere.

I watch a ton of youth rep basketball (my son plays), which for the most part is managed by FIBA rules or modified FIBA rules. The game that most kids are playing at the youth level allows for a lot more physicality defensively than the NBA game. For the most part, the refs swallow their whistle, unless it is an obvious foul. Euroleague is the same. NCAA is also the same.

That's why I always say the modern NBA is a bastardized version of basketball. No other league in the world allows travelling & prevents defenders from playing defense like the NBA does.

Trying to keep my expectations in check here. 17/12/5/2/2 and summer league MVP.

I think summer league generally shows who hustles and who can dribble/shoot but not necessarily in a real game setting. Guys who are ball hogs as well tend to shine here and fade once season starts. I expect CMB to do well and probably have awkward moments dribbling into traffic with many defenders around him. Will hopefully see him slow down and recognize defenses collapsing and make some nice reads kind of like Flagg eventually did his first game.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
