He's always been a good defender, excellent wingspan, last 6 years shot at or above average 3p% which likely goes up playing with Giannis. Idk what you expect to get that's better than Wiggins for Kuzma and a 1st round pick 6 years out...
I don't know why you think we have to make the trade this offseason, and burn a probable top 10 pick, which is most of our last trade ammo, on a non 2nd option. If we can't get that now, maybe then it'd behoove us to wait for a better spot, like the trade deadline, to act.
idk why this board is underselling Wiggins. He is a legitimate player. Can score all 3 levels, defend at a very high level and he's got championship experience. What else are we getting for Kuzma and a 1st? No one better exists. Idgaf about giving up the pick, some of you are still stuck in Pre Turner and Pre bringing everyone back mode. We are literally 1 guy away from being able to win the East next year. I'd trade every single future pick as soon as it's available if it means competing now with Giannis.
Why are you just repeating the same thing? You didn't show Wiggins is the 2nd option we may need. And you speak about this like it's the only point we can make a trade, as opposed to the deadline (the championship's not won in July), when Kuzma's value may be better. He was netting asset(s) the prior season from the Mavs. Also, he could then better be offered for apron relief, between the Bucks taking 25% more salary back, & Kuz having a descending contract. We can also pair the '31 pick & '32 swap. The goal would be to get a 2nd option, as I said, like Murphy, or at least Reaves.
Ironically you're operating as if the Turner move didn't happen. That means we can't settle on the wild card of KPJ next to Giannis. We now need more assurance that guy is a viable #2 creator, which Wiggins is not, w/ career high assist totals in the 3's.
