I don't know why you think we have to make the trade this offseason, and burn a probable top 10 pick, which is most of our last trade ammo, on a non 2nd option. If we can't get that now, maybe then it'd behoove us to wait for a better spot, like the trade deadline, to act.

idk why this board is underselling Wiggins. He is a legitimate player. Can score all 3 levels, defend at a very high level and he's got championship experience. What else are we getting for Kuzma and a 1st? No one better exists. Idgaf about giving up the pick, some of you are still stuck in Pre Turner and Pre bringing everyone back mode. We are literally 1 guy away from being able to win the East next year. I'd trade every single future pick as soon as it's available if it means competing now with Giannis.

Why are you just repeating the same thing? You didn't show Wiggins is the 2nd option we may need. And you speak about this like it's the only point we can make a trade, as opposed to the deadline (the championship's not won in July), when Kuzma's value may be better. He was netting asset(s) the prior season from the Mavs. Also, he could then better be offered for apron relief, between the Bucks taking 25% more salary back, & Kuz having a descending contract. We can also pair the '31 pick & '32 swap. The goal would be to get a 2nd option, as I said, like Murphy, or at least Reaves.

Ironically you're operating as if the Turner move didn't happen. That means we can't settle on the wild card of KPJ next to Giannis. We now need more assurance that guy is a viable #2 creator, which Wiggins is not, w/ career high assist totals in the 3's.

Target the two dumbest franchises at once?

MKE: Marshall, Martin
SAC: Kuzma
DAL: Monk

Just Naji Marshall would be a slam dunk for me

Having three or four people pining for Andrew Wiggins makes me feel like its the summer of the Jabari draft.

He’s overpaid but he’s the last piece this team needs on paper. Also, you’re not going to get much better with a nothing burger centric package, 1st rounder or not.

I dunno if the Raptors really want to shed salary Kuzma and AJJ just might be good enough for Barrett which would be much better on a lot of levels imo

Reminder: Raptors just need to drop ~ $5M to get under the tax, which the Bucks could easily help them with being able to take on ~ $6M more than Kuzma’s salary in a trade:

Agreed. I’m not giving up the first for Quickley, RJ Barrett, Wiggins, Kuminga, etc. This has to be a higher caliber guy and likely younger.

Quickley Id do top 10 protected. Agree no 1st for Wiggins, Kuminga, RJ Barrett.

Let's say, for academic purposes: how many of our picks back would we require to take on DeJounte Murray?

$33.91M you say? Interestly, Giddy wants $30M a year.

Just watched the introductory press conference, I laughed out loud when Horst said "we've got the best player in the world and the best coach in the world."

Is this legit? I thought I saw someone mention Porter is 0 now? I haven’t seen any sort of official announcement yet about either.

I don't love the player, don't love the fit, and I'm sure Boston fans wouldn't exactly be over the moon but something with Simons/Kuzma makes a lot of sense.

Dumb is giving up a first for Wiggins.

Lunacy is trading for Kyle Kuzma AND starting him ahead of better players.

First for Wiggins, ok fair enough.

Lunacy for Kuzma, that’s silly when you consider what flexibility that just opened up for us. Unless you think there were a load of other teams lined up to help us out of cap hell.

Starting him, ok fair enough

I've already stated in prior threads that the trade could be justified based on the flexibility. Although, we are assuming that was the only trade available.

It is much more likely that Horst and Doc liked Kuzma and that was also a big part of the deal to them.

My evidence is how much they played him and continued to play him. They liked Kuzma. Whether they still do, we shall see.
