They lose all of Ellis, Carter, and DeRozan, get the worst draft pick, and pick up Kuminga and Anthony…… who isn’t considered a positive asset. They would laugh you off their board with this proposal.
"Losing" DeRozan is a feature not a bug imo. Consider it dumping DeRozan you have to add assets to do that.
The kings are looking to dump LAVINE, derozan, sabonis, monk if you read their forums.

in what world did anyone want to dump Sabonis?

I am hoping for a Kuminga holdout for several months. After tomorrow, the Warriors cannot retract their QO offer to Kuminga. He can let the QO sit until October 1, the last day he can sign it before it would normally expire. The QO can be extended beyond October 1, but both the team and the player have to agree to the extension. If the QO expires, Kuminga would still be a restricted FA, but there wouldn't be an offer he could fall back on.

But isn't the Kuminga situation what's holding up Horford, Melton, Lillard, etc.? They aren't going to wait around that long...
Melton will go to L.A., Lillard will go to Boston, and Horford will retire. Leaving us with the steaming pile of dung we have right now?

I'm rather enjoying the internal struggle within the Warriors organization.
Lacob very much wants to keep Kuminga. But let's say he's convinced he needs to move Kuminga. Lacob is still at the stage where, not only does he not want to lose a trade, but he wants to win one. Good luck when dealing with both Kuminga's demands and BYC issues in a S&T.
And speaking of BYC, this is probably causing nightmares for MDJ. It's mainly not his fault. He has an owner who pinned the Warriors into this corner. But as a GM, this is a rough situation to be in. MDJ apparently came up with a trade for KD before KD nixed it, and then followed that up with the Butler trade. Quite impressive maneuvering, but Kuminga's restricted free agency has become a real challenge.
On top of all of that, you have a coach who doesn't want Kuminga on the team. Kerr even alluded to it before needing to backpedal comments. Kerr is very much stuck in his coaching ways, and it will likely be that way until he leaves the team when Curry retires/moves on to another team.

Are you sure you are a fan of the warriors and not drama? Enjoying the dubs struggle with questions around trade value, playing style, coaching, and management while the team is on the final leg of this relay doesn't really scream 'fan!'
I'm not here to gatekeep or tell people how to root but hoping for JK to holdout for months while enjoying the FO struggles is the ultimate version of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I can sort of see both sides of it. It's a continuation of Lacob thinking he can have his cake and eat it too, from the two timelines. He's still unwilling to be pragmatic about it by either trading Kuminga or replacing Kerr, when it's been obvious for a couple years it was never going to work, and I think there is a certain schadenfreude to be taken from watching the hubris of entitled and stubborn super rich guys come back to bite them (Hi, Elon!). Unfortunately, it is hurting the team and thus the fans at the same time, at a critical time when the window is closing on the greatest player most of us has ever seen. Maybe he learns his lesson this time?

I feel like if he was getting offered 4/80 then he would've took that by now.
