They aren't losing 50 games. Not with the roster they have. I am thinking 43-39.

What’s so good about this roster for this season? We lost 4 starters and 1 strong rotation piece, one of which is an all NBA first team, MVP level player. Another is an all defensive guard. And three others who are the only legit bigs we had. I’m not sure how losing 4 starters and a strong rotation piece amounts to us only dropping ~18-20 games when we really didn’t replace those 5 players with..anyone that decent outside Simons (who will make our defense even worse). Our season would have to be perfect for that.
EDIT: Honestly, I would take Toronto’s roster over this one (not including Tatum obviously).
But yeah a top 4 pick is not that realistic. Not asking for that. I just want to be in the lottery. Let the chips fall where they fall. We need as strong a trade asset as possible to help supplement Tatum and Brown in 2026. Anything short of doing what it takes to help those two succeed for the second half of their primes is a failure, imo. We have no realistic way of adding talent to this team right now without blowing out all of our first round picks in a trade, which I would prefer not to do if it can be avoided by getting a lottery pick in 2026.
What’s our lineup right now?
Simons/PP
White/Baylor/Hugo
Brown/Hauser/Minot/Walsh
Niang/Tillman
Queta/Garza
That is so darn weak on the wings and bigs. Good guard rotation, but that’s only gonna take us so far. If that team doesn’t get shredded on defense, Joe might be COTY, lol
4 starters?
Celtics still have their No. 2 and No.3 players. All nba player and a all star caliber guard.
Hauser, Pritchard. The only issue on team
Is a very weak frontcourt defensively and offensively.

Team has 1 allstar/almost All NBA level player - Brown
Team has 1 great role player/almost allstar level player - White
Team has 1 great bench player - Pritchard
Team has 1 good bench piece - Hauser
The rest is not good at all.
Simons - ball hog, sub average efficiency "scorer" who barely cracked 20ppg on an absolute **** team with a green light who cannot and will not play any defense
Niang - a fine 3rd SF or 3rd PF I guess.
Scheierman - 1 dimensional player without NBA athleticism. He is probably a specialist off the bench as your 5th wing or 9th man.
Hugo - who knows...a rookie...not holding my breath as he is most likely at least 2 years away from being a top 8 player on a winning team.
Davidson - undersized ball hog trash
Walsh - low IQ poor shooting trash
Williams - uninterested
Tillman - trash
Queta - good 3rd center I guess
Garza - ok 3rd center I guess, Really nothing shown in career
minott - has shown nothing so far in the league
