I saw a lot of consternation on this quote and listening to the full video I don’t think he’s wrong at all.

Bob Johnson and later MJ (the worst non-criminal owner of the 21st century) made this franchise into a clown show of epic proportions. The new PE guys have somehow lowered the talent level on the roster from even that complete car crash, and just won 40 combined games in two years, drafting Tidjane Salaun and Kon Knueppel for their troubles.

We are still easily a bottom 3 franchise in the NBA and will be until we prove we can actually play serious winning basketball and build a decent team.

I need our guys to listen to this stuff and get angry and really try to prove people wrong. Right now PG’s spot on here, however much the truth hurts.

Honestly agree with his take about missing a winning culture, question's is he talking about the new owners or the guys who've been around a lot longer, the team's so-called established stars? Doubt he'd look at the newer guys like Grant and Brandon and call them part of the problem.

They will just perpetuate the cycle of apathy toward winning by using premium draft capital on untalented guys like Kon Knueppel to try and fix what has never been a player attitude issue. Good teams have player attitude issues all the time. Draymond punches teammates in the face and their slimy coach takes his side etc etc. This teams cycled through dozens and dozens of players and never once truly had that stink off it. Big move of the offseason is acquiring career mega loser Collin Sexton and hyping him up because he makes a crazy face on the court. This is some people’s A+ offseason. Other teams fringe moves are our premier acquisitions.

It’s one of those things where you can kind of get it if you’re bought in and participating daily but if you were to sit there and try to explain it to somebody outside the Hornets fandom you’d realize how hilarious it actually is

Terry was throwing games when he played for us. It's no wonder new ownership is determined to change the culture.

not new news tho..

I did watch an hour long Youtube investigation on the Malik Beasley situation from Pablo Discovers... They went super duper deep on trying to figure out who was behind both the Porter and Beasley situations. Essentially it was two Middle Eastern dudes from New York area.

The Terry situation is definitely unconnected to either one of those. I think there's definitely something fishy here but I'm not convinced that Terry was actually involved. I think it's possible that someone from the team may have known that the coaches planned to only play Terry a short amount of time in that game. Or it's possible that someone just knew that he had a nagging ankle injury and that the Hornets were being super cautious with players since we were tanking. idk... Terry's kind of an idiot, but I'll give him The benefit of the doubt here until proven otherwise.

Unless Terry owed somebody money and this was the only way out of it I still can't fathom why NBA players would risk their careers over what amounts to be helping some random people make a few $1000.

But if Terry is the one that manufactured a foot injury to get himself out of the game after 10 minutes then yeah he's cooked. I just think its entirely possible that someone in the organization knew that he had some foot discomfort and there was a good chance he wouldn't play much.

revision
- im starting kon from day 1. he will help melo/miller immediately
- let sexton, mann carry offense on 2nd unit
- id cut baugh, sign hall to the 3rd 2way
- still expect nsj, connaughton, jefferies to be cut, bought out or traded

how you seen the development of Sarr? Seems to have grown up somewhat .

Sorry for missing your post, had not log in for a while

I am still dubious about his real toughness and real (positive) impact on the win column. I doubt he can be a viable center in fiba bball, but he has the skillset to be a good pf (pretty sure he can improve a lot in that area, we saw games from him where he was connecting most of his jumpers and/or doing some good post moves). Passing well is another thing he has to be reliable with if you want me to buy into his potential at the top level.
Physically he's obviously stronger, that's a fact (and it should improve as well this offseason i assume).

I would still rather have, say, Batcho as center for us (our nt, at least when Victor is here) than Sarr. Or Raynaud. We should see what he can do during Eurobasket since we currently
have a depleted frontcourt

ps : and sorry for the offtopic

Sexton /Mann off the bench is a terrible fit.

I do agree that Kon should start, but the Sexton trade and bringing Mann back screwed up our rotation. Why would you give your #4 pick all this competition at guard it makes no sense.

Based on fit I think Sexton will start. Bring Mann/Kon off the bench together much better fit than Mann/Sexton.
