As loyal as they come? A couple years ago he was demanding a trade to Miami.
Weird takeaway. So if our front office went to Giannis and said "sorry G, we're rebuilding around younger players and not trading away any more draft picks", and Giannis then asked for a trade, you'd be first in line to call him disloyal then, right?
If the Bucks were trying to rebuild around Giannis and he demanded a trade, I wouldn't call him "as loyal as they come".

He's already one of the most loyal superstars ever and that's not gonna change if this all goes to **** and he finally moves on after spending the entire prime of his career here. If/when he's 33-years old, and Horst goes, "we're drafting a 19-year old with this Top-3 pick instead of trading it for immediate help", everyone knows what the deal is. This isn't that complicated.

I'm happy if Blazers fans are happy but post Achillles tear 36 year old Dame will probably be a rude awakening for them.

Dame is a loser lmao
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

Re: ATL - Dame Back to Portland
So the Blazers alienated Dame by drafting Scoot instead of Brandon Miller much less dealing the pick.
And then they trade for Jrue and bring back a now humbled Dame.
Scoot must be thrilled. But he’s also just been meh so they probably don’t care.
Yes they were gifted Bucks picks for a few Dame-free years and bad headlines but this is still some serious organizational ****.

If I'm understanding this correctly, we wouldn't be eligible for the offset if this was a buyout.

Dame got a no-trade clause and a player option.

Dame is a smart man. They were talking about Boston or GS which made no sense.

It's literally exactly how it went down.
The Blazers elected to keep their draft pick after both seasons, most recently selecting guard Scoot Henderson with the No. 2 overall pick. Lillard's trade request came shortly after.

Meh, he’s a human being going through a really tough moment personally and professionally who is returning to his children and the city he had the best years of his life.
I think he’s doing just fine.

Nope, Dame demanded to get traded to Miami. Miami wouldn't pay what Portland wanted, so Dame tried to reneg on his demand, but Portland said" too late".
