Kuminga for O’Neal & Fleming

Post#1 » by Hook_Em » Fri Jul 25, 2025 3:28 pm

Kuminga S&T 3/$50m

for

Royce O’Neal
Rasheer Fleming (2nd rd rookie)

- Warriors get a solid journeyman on a better deal than Grayson plus a young asset
- Suns get their starting PF at a non-crazy number

I think I'd be fine with this. TBH I wouldn't mind Grayson Allen either

I'd rather sign jk for 3/60 and get a much better return at the deadline.

I feel like too much risk at this point. How much could they possibly boost his value in half a season while still keeping pace in a competitive West?

if Kuminga was willing to sign for $16.7M a year, the Warriors would have done it by now. the whole problem is he wants twice that number

GSW has no bigs so he would get starters minutes.

Trying to keep within 125% of those two players. Could the Suns sign him for more from that package?

125% is for outgoing salaries above 29MM. Up to 29MM can bring back the outgoing salary plus 8.5MM. But bringing back even one dollar more than they send out hard-caps a team at the 1st Apron which the Warriors can't afford to do, I don't know about the Suns. The Warriors can live with a 2nd apron hard-cap but not a 1st.

Im assuming Kuminga wants a 9 figure deal guaranteed. ie. 4 years, $100 million.

People in hell want ice water.

If someone were willing to give Kuminga 9 figures guaranteed a deal would have been worked out by now.

The Warriors are signing Horford after they clear up the Kuminga situation. He will start.

The rumor was Kuminga for O’Neale and Nick Richards, but I’d be fine with Fleming instead of Richards. I think O’Neale would be a good fit for the Warriors.

Ahh, 25 a year is likely what he at least wants and will get. These 3/50 and 3/60 contract ideas are nonsense.

Kuminga is not a PF, never was, never will be, there is no place and need for him In Phoenix, therefore I would not even trade Fleming for him.
