Hearing OZZY passed kinda took me back. 76. That's young in general but, he was a rock star in every sense of the word. His illness cut him down but, he lived a full life if there ever was one. The Prince of fuqqing Darkness man.
Malcolm dying is so sad because for those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s, you felt like you grew up with him (and the other kids on the show). He seemed like a really good guy. Way too young.
Ozzy saddened me but also there's a sense of celebration in my heart for him. He went out on stage and raised millions of dollars for charity in his final act as an artist. Nothing but love and respect for The Prince of Darkness. Been listening to his solo album and Black Sabbath cuts all week.
Also, as I joked with my family, Ozzy did REALLY well to make it to 76 considering how hard that man partied.
The lesson here when I think of both of these men: Live and conduct yourself in a way that when you leave this world, people will mourn and or celebrate your life. You don't have to be perfect. But don't live in a way that will make people curse your existence.
Lots of people will be lined up to take turns watering the flowers around Terry Bollea's grave with urine. That's all I'll say.
