I mean we are are well aware that he is restricted. I think in order for Kuminga to sign long term, the Warriors will have to pay more because he doesn’t want to be there. Without a good deal why would Kuminga agree to go back there long term? He doesn’t fit in that system. It won’t help him make more money on the next deal.
What’s his option. QO is still more bluff than reality imo. Warriors looking for around a 3 year deal, not long term. Just enough to be tradeable. Like I said, beats the alternative
What beats the alternative? What kind of value do you expect Kuminga to have on a three year deal? Why would his production improve in the interim?
Three year deal, team controls his bird rights, will still be in his early/mid 20s, got an older team that will need to be load managed so he’ll get minutes and on a reasonable contract with no BYC issues.
They’ll get a return. No king’s ransom, but better than the current rumored deal (low bar that they are)
