Way too much fan service and cameos. Agreed on that. Best part was just Julie Bowen being Julie Bowen. Timeless.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Started Dexter Resurrection. Not amazing, but not bad.

The latest episode (4)
Spoiler:
A series about a serial killer who works (worked) for a police department was crazy from the start. But Dexter killing a bad guy serial killer and assuming his identity to go to a party for other serial killers hosted by Peter Dinklage, who collects serial killer memorabilia but isn't one himself, was beyond wild. And Uma Thurman as his security.

It was so far out there I liked it. The writers are just having fun with crazy ****. It was absurd. I like absurd. This was never a show where you'd go "well that could never happen".
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

You're right with everything you said. It was terrible and I only watched because of the name. So much was forced.

Also, Stephen A. getting a cameo is garbage.

You guys nailed it - some funny moments, some of the cameos were cool but they were certainly overdone. Not a good movie, not upset that I watched it but definitely won’t watch it again.

HG2 was good for the first half. Got too stupid in the second half.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoy Stav, Shane, Pope, O'Connor, etc.

Tires 2 still sucks. I have wanted to love it twice, and it is still very unfunny, imo. I am heartbroken.

HG2 was fun enough for me. Obviously never going to recapture the magic of the first one but felt like a pretty faithful sequel to me.

The number of cameos is absolutely insane though lol

I will say, the maxi league looks lit....

Thought it was a great airplane movie. It gave people the nostalgia they wanted without be too serious.

(Only recent sequel I thoroughly liked was Maverick, which was another movie not afraid of going heavy on the nostalgia)

Agreed. I was actually having a great time with it through the actual golf tournament. The maxi tour part took me out.

Yeah most sequels disappoint. Maverick was great. Godfather II was great. Godfather III was not good. I'm surprised they never did Scarface II: The Revenge of Tony Montana where Tony somehow survived (it's a movie after all).

Finished watching Stick. It has its faults but overall enjoyable. Wilson is always very charismatic and this show seems like a vessel to let him do his thing.

Characters are all good and there are some funny moments in there.

Story moves way too fast though. Bit like Ted Lasso in the same way they’re going from 0-100 pretty quickly in terms of moving the show along.

Apple seems to have a bit of a formula in place for shows like this, Lasso and even Shrinking. It’s inoffensive, funny, and isn’t overly complicated.

Glad it’s getting another season albeit it’ll probably end with Santi winning the masters at the rate they move the story along.

Happy Gilmore 2:

Spoiler:
Golf cameos were really good if you watch golf: John Daly, Scheffler, Zalatoris (perfect remake cameo), and Schauffele were good. Wish more were really silly like Schauffele’s but they played it relatively straight. If you follow golf, it actually took into account a lot of the LIV stuff in interesting ways (Bryson playing against Maxli team). Everyone saying Scheffler stole it, but John Daly’s casting was the best.

What sucked were all the flashbacks and nepotism. You have all of Adam Sandler’s kids in it, freaking Rob Schneider’s kids, SNL nepotism, and a random Farley. Surprised Spade didn’t make an appearance.

I added spoiler tags above. Please don't forget to use them, whether you like a movie or not.

The Zalatoris bit killed me lol. Scheffler making fun of himself for getting arrested was also very funny.

Spoiler:
Those were 2 of my favorite bits. The whole scene at the tour champions dinner was great too.

Also, with the nepotism casting. Sandler always tries to get his friends and their families some of that residual money

Spoiler:
Yeah, I get why people hate nepotism and everything, but (1) this cast included like 300 people; it's alright IMO that he gave a couple roles to his kids/family friends and (2) it's not like this movie is exactly an acting virtuoso. If you didn't know their names you never would have thought anything of it. I didn't even realize the one girl was his daughter until the very end when she made some sort of comment about him reminding her of her dad or something like that where it was very obviously tongue-in-cheek.

Wow. I made it about 45 minutes. I can't even imagine how dumb the second half must've been.

Absolute drivel.
