Golf cameos were really good if you watch golf: John Daly, Scheffler, Zalatoris (perfect remake cameo), and Schauffele were good. Wish more were really silly like Schauffele’s but they played it relatively straight. If you follow golf, it actually took into account a lot of the LIV stuff in interesting ways (Bryson playing against Maxli team). Everyone saying Scheffler stole it, but John Daly’s casting was the best.

What sucked were all the flashbacks and nepotism. You have all of Adam Sandler’s kids in it, freaking Rob Schneider’s kids, SNL nepotism, and a random Farley. Surprised Spade didn’t make an appearance.

Spoiler:
The Zalatoris bit killed me lol. Scheffler making fun of himself for getting arrested was also very funny.

Spoiler:
Those were 2 of my favorite bits. The whole scene at the tour champions dinner was great too.

Also, with the nepotism casting. Sandler always tries to get his friends and their families some of that residual money

Spoiler:
Yeah, I get why people hate nepotism and everything, but (1) this cast included like 300 people; it's alright IMO that he gave a couple roles to his kids/family friends and (2) it's not like this movie is exactly an acting virtuoso. If you didn't know their names you never would have thought anything of it. I didn't even realize the one girl was his daughter until the very end when she made some sort of comment about him reminding her of her dad or something like that where it was very obviously tongue-in-cheek.

Wow. I made it about 45 minutes. I can't even imagine how dumb the second half must've been.

Absolute drivel.

I'm pretty much all caught up on new shows I wanted to watch. So I fired up House of Lies that I watched years ago. Forgot how much I liked this show.

Any new shows I'm missing out on? I started Untamed on Netflix and couldn't get in.

A listicle popped up on my Google news feed that was suggesting 10 adaptations of The Odyssey you should watch before Nolan's Odyssey. Content tailored to the massive group of people who cry out for 11 adaptations of The Odyssey.

I'm very much looking forward to Nolan's film, but I'd love an adaptation of "The Iliad" that isn't ass.

Tires 2 still sucks. I have wanted to love it twice, and it is still very unfunny, imo. I am heartbroken.

Absolute trash. They should have just put that loot into a sketch show.

Okay, the H. Foley appearance reeled me back in. Big Are You Garbage guy, that really got me good.

Absolutely loved it until the season finale, where I think they dropped the ball harder than any "good" show I've seen in recent memory lol. Will still watch the 2nd season when it inevitably comes out though.

It's a bit of a mess but it is an absolutely glorious kind of mess. Feels like Season 2 will be very different but we'll see.

I also thought they bungled the finale but I rewatched it this week and it was better than I remembered. I think just coming off of episode seven there was an inevitable letdown. Kind of like an early season Game of Thrones episode 9. Episode 10 was always coming back down to earth.

The major catastrophic event episode is one of the best episodes of TV (especially network tv) of the last few years.

ETa: could easily have been a movie in itself, and would've made it even better because we wouldn't have known who lived

I liked Greenland. And Green Book. Totally unrelated.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
