The starting pitching has been fairly average statistically, but it's still pretty good. Like, a 4.00 ERA doesn't seem good on paper (what Gausman, Berrios and Bassitt are roughly around all season), but in reality, that's still better than a 6 inning 3 run outing (a 4.50 ERA) which is definitely good enough to get wins.
That said, you can say the wins are really a credit to 4 main things:
1) Great relief pitching (despite a shaky closer),
2) Timely RBIs / hitting with RISP,
3) Taking advantage of errors / good luck, and
4) Good depth... plenty of injuries with hitters and RPs but fill-ins continue to hit and pitch well
It is quite odd that they have the best record despite their 2 biggest weaknesses maybe being homeruns and starting pitching, lol, but that's why they generally aren't viewed as a dominant team yet
