Could he fit in OKC? They could offer a metric f*ck ton of picks and probably a couple of nice young players. Salary matching would be difficult but I'd guess right off the bat iShart and Caruso are in the deal.
That's already two useful role players the Bucks could keep or flip. They'd have to come up with another 20 million.
Assume the core is Shai/Williams/Chet, and they are willing to deal anything else, within reason.
Didn't quite understand the 20 million reference. According to the spotrac trade machine, Giannis for hHrtenstein and Caruso straight up works salary wise (or for that matter, eg, Dort, Caruso and Wiggins).
I thought that there might be a salary gap between iShart and Caruso and Giannis
Wow. Those two and 5 picks
No. They're both under the first apron, so old-school trades work. The difference in salaries (combined) is smthg like 7m and that's less than 20% of whatever Giannis makes ( idk, 55m?).
The Knicks would have to send out more salary than Giannis's, so quite a different deal. But the Knicks could send OG and Josh Hart, for example - that works money-wise. Also gives the Knicks another 5m for recruiting, although have to recruit another player (Not talking about whether MIL would have any basketball motivation to make such a trade. I mean I guess they could ship at least OG on for decent draft assets. I'm really not convinced what Hart's retail value is ... but ... mkay.)
KAT
GIannis
Bridges
Deuce or Clarkson
Brunson

Mitch / Huk
Simmons (let's say, just for the sake of argument - mebbe Giannis can teach him Giannis-ball) / Yabu
Pac / Shamet(? hypothetically) / McCullars
Clarkson or Deuce
Kolek
But you could go a little up market from vet mins for Shamet/Simmons. Or could sign a 15th player with a vet min. Or try to figure out something better as a PG back-up strategy and invest some of your 2.6m or w/e extra in that.
