O’Conners and Jent both sound like good assistants. If they’re both the leads guys, makes me feel a lot better about the Thibs holdovers.

Mike Weinar
is an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers, having completed his first season with the team after spending 11 seasons with the Dallas Mavericks. Weinar was a key member of the Mavericks' coaching staff during their 2011 NBA Championship run. He is responsible for opponent preparation and plays a significant role in the team's offensive strategy. Known for his meticulous game preparation, Weinar frequently communicates play calls and assists players with defensive assignments.
In addition to his work with the Pacers, Weinar led the Mavericks to a championship in the 2017 Orlando Summer Pro League, coaching the team to a thrilling, buzzer-beating victory in the title game. He has also contributed as an assistant coach for the Mavericks' Las Vegas Summer League teams.
Weinar’s coaching career began as a graduate assistant under Billy Donovan at the University of Florida Men’s Basketball Program from 2006 to 2008, where he worked alongside current Mavericks assistant coach Larry Shyatt. During his time at Florida, he was part of back-to-back National Championship teams in 2005-06 and 2006-07. Prior to his collegiate coaching experience, Weinar served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Bronson High School.
