O’Conners and Jent both sound like good assistants. If they’re both the leads guys, makes me feel a lot better about the Thibs holdovers.

is an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers, having completed his first season with the team after spending 11 seasons with the Dallas Mavericks. His game log for Houston is interesting too. He just played for Houston for their final 3 games in 1994. Played sparingly in the playoffs. He seemed to be a guy used to keep some regular players rested. That has no bearing on his ability as a coach, of course.

Yeah it’s very possible that Jent could be a good hire as well but stealing Carislie’s protege is much more appealing to me. I think Jent will get the job tho, since he has a direct connection to Mike Brown.
