Haywood and a 2nd for a smaller, less tested, torn Achilles Haywood looks to be the deal.

I'm going to wait until we get the contract details confirmed and hope that it's just non-guaranteed money. It really wouldn't make any sense to give guaranteed money to an unproven player coming off of back to back devastating injuries. Especially when our cap situation is still not great.

I don't think Barry is right on this one unless I am missing something. HH's contract opened up 4.2 million under the line. If Dru Smith's contract starts at 2.3 than that should leave 1.9 million under the tax line and a vet min or prorated in season contract will be below that number. I don't think we plan on signing a big anytime soon regardless as they will give Goldin the chance in season to win that prorated contract. Anything else that happens will come via trade but how likely is that with Rozier? Probably slim to none
Here goes your opening night lineups
C/PF Bam Adebayo C Kelel Ware C Vlad Goldin (2 way)
PF Nikola Jovic PF Keshad Johnson
SF Andrew Wiggins SF Jaime Jaquez Jr SF/PF Simone Fontechccio
SG Norman Powell SG/SF Pelle Larrson PG/SG Dru Smith
SG/PG Tyler Herro PG Davion Mitchell PG Kasparas Jakucionis (PG Terry Rozier)

its not a big deal but its certainly not a bad thing either..especially as much as 5 Guys were trying to push the narrative that there was an issue with Wiggins and the staff. To me it just says that he cares and he’s committed. Some guys spend the whole summer with their own trainers away from the team.insfo wrote:Yeah, it’s like we have such low expectations for these players, “oh he spent so much time in the facilities” and buddy is like WOW

I don't see why any Heat fan would be upset about this signing. Smith was very good when he played last year, and the last two years of his deal aren't guaranteed from my understanding.
Imagine Mitchell and he taking turns playing POA defense on opposing point guards all game long?

We traded Haywood and a 2nd to sign a worse player with a torn Achilles. Upset? Idk if it’s that serious but I’m sure some people are. Is it a good or even positive move though? Probably not.
He tore his Achilles at the end of December, when does he even return? He’s now torn his ACL and his Achilles, will he even be able to defend like he used to? He hasn’t been played over 15 games in a season in his career. It’s a weird move for sure and it’s unfortunate we shed another asset in a salary dump to make it happen, just not good business.
He's the last man on the bench. Does it really matter? Never understand why so much uproar about the last players on the bench.3ammy3uck3ts wrote:BBallFreak wrote:
